That clapton coil is interesting, looks like the Sai and Molecule are sort of on similar paths... I did order the quartz crucible from HVT earlier, looking forward to comparing it with the Molecule insert when that arrives too.
@florduh pretty much nailed it.
I'm currently enjoying my Molecule over the Sai, but they both have their strengths. I'm hopeful the quartz insert for the Molecule will be the defining factor for me, along with the drip tip on the horizon.
Oh nooooo, I'm doing a bit of a revamp on my setup and was about to pull the trigger on a 30mm axial coil but it's sold out now. :cry:
@710Coils any idea when you might have more of the 110v in stock?
Most of the comparison reports I've seen are anecdotal and not terribly scientific... But rubies and sapphires are the second hardest mineral type after diamonds. So, it's safe to assume they're less porous than alternatives like quartz as well. Sapphires are also bio-compatible and...
Yes, you're correct, they're different topics. I'm really interested in learning more about jar tech but can't seem to find any useful info aside from the general concept like you mentioned. Lots of questions on that dude's IG but no real answers.
@invertedisdead did you ever have any luck...
Yeah, I agree... Seems like it'd fix all of those issues if the entire piece slipped over an o-ring or two on the base, rather than screwing in (like the Sai). But I guess this way helps give the quartz bowl a little more stability?
@florduh For the mouthpiece removal problem, I've been using it with only the bottom o-ring as recommended by a reddit user. The cap is easier to pull off and pop back into place, although I'm still extra careful after having already broken one of my cups.
I've tried some builds with that mesh and had no success (both the 200 mesh and 400 mesh). There just wasn't enough room between the posts to mount it in a way that A) had enough surface area and B) didn't short. But I'm pretty new with these types of builds, so maybe somebody else would have...
I've been using mine for about a week with a Vaporesso Armour Pro box mod. I've got the quartz inserts on the way too. The form factor is great, more inconspicuous than my Sai. It produces thick clouds surprisingly quickly and at a lower wattage. Setup was very easy, the only issue I've had...
@invertedisdead Thanks again for your insight, you're a wealth of information as always! Fortunately I have much more material on the way so I'll get it right eventually... maybe. :science:
On a related note, @psychonaut do you happen to know when the 2x4" pre-press molds might be back in...
@invertedisdead Okay, I'll try that next time. I did squish it into a huge brick beforehand, but obviously had to break it up to get it into the bags. I'll try forming it more in the bag. Would it be worth trying bottletech with cylinder pre-press with hash? Or maybe investing in something like...
So, I did actually watch that video before doing my runs. The part that that seemed off for me is the amount of time it took to get a nice flow going. Pedro is showing some good flow @ about the 1 minute mark. Whereas mine took a good 3 or 4 minutes at times for the rosin to start steadily...
