A major differentiator in volume consumed, IMHO, is whether you do the edible thing or not. When I do edibles, I need an order of magnitude more than when I just vape.
With edibles- easily an 1/8th or more a day workdays, 1/4 on weekends
No edibles, just vaping - maybe a gram a day on...
I gotta dispute the 'causes magical thinking' bit. In my previous career as a researcher and in my current one in the law, the sharpest, most critical, least magical thinking people I know and knew are the stoners. Even in my occultist days, the stoners were more likely to be the skeptics than...
BTW- before they retcon all of it out of existence, a Marvel Unlimited subscription is a crazy good value if you want to read older titles. I've had a subscription for about 4 months, and got to read 20 years of Deadpool, Silver Surfer, X-Men, Thanos, Inhumans, and Avengers. They rotate the...
Word is they have upped season one of Gotham to a full 22 episodes. Though Constantine may only do 13 and has not been picked up for a 2nd season yet.
To those interested in the madness Marvel has announced, I have heard two theories. Especially since Stan Lee said "what Kirby and me started...
I totally agree with Psych. It is especially good to watch with Twin Peaks returning (as, of course, is Twin Peaks itself). Especially the sundry Ray Wise episodes, including the full-on Twin Peaks Psych episode, Dual Spires.
Personally, I love Gotham (Bruno Heller can do no wrong - see HBOs Rome) and Arrow. And Constantine. A little less impressed with the Flash, but still think it's better than Agents of Shield. Marvel is kicking ass in the flicks, but DC is dominating on TV.
Kind of appropriate after what appears to be an image of the Surfer - Marvel is ENDING the entire Stan Lee/ Jack Kirby Universe. That is according to both Marvel and Stan himself. Can I get a WTF??? They have already killed Wolverine, are killing Deadpool, and are ending Fantastic Four. Now...
My partner is digging Up Inn Smoke.
Here's tonight's dinner- scallops and capellini in chorizo cream (bacon fat, chorizo, butter, white burgundy, cream).
I like both Up Inn Smoke and Smokin': An American Fusion Joint. They are both on the short list.
I need to look into whether Up Inn Smoke would have a copyright or trademark issue. If not, it would definitely grab the attention of the target audience.
Was in Colorado again looking at restaurant properties. Also cooked some awesome food again, but again too wasted to remember to take pics. Did scallops & oysters in chorizo cream and lobster demi, then dry-aged NY Strips, seared in bacon fat, served in a lake of butter and lobster demi and in...
Puked on HST while tripping, then shared a mescaline source with Depp (while he was shooting Cry Baby).
Two more from comic book land - 1000X cooler than his buddy Thor- Beta Ray Bill.
Actually have a Beta Ray Bill action figure en route
And possibly the coolest villain ever, Jim...
First ravioli in a while. Stuffed with smoked duck, artisanal ricotta and baby spinach. Sauce is chicken stock, mead, garlic, duck fat, garlic and a little baby spinach juice. Garnished with more bay spinach.
I can find prepared goat - my favorite Indian joint has goat curry and an orgasmic goat biryani. But cannot find raw fresh goat.
Out of the smoker today - a new bacon recipe. This time the brine is sherry, armagnac, and a shitload of black pepper and garlic.
And a smoked duck. Stuffed...
My honey mustard mix is based on Honeycup extra sharp. I used Maille dijon, fresh crushed yellow mustard seed, local clover honey, and fresh horseradish pureed with a little white vinegar, olive oil, white pepper and kosher salt.
Goat is awesome and not used enough in the U.S. Don;t know where...
Another steak- this one a bone-in ribeye, seared in garlic butter, topped with buttered shallots and garlic; served with a honey, horseradish and mustard paste and some Luger's.
BTW- in CO again, from New Year's Day through 1/6, looking at restaurant locations in Aurora and east Denver. Also...
Got a bottle of the only prepared steak sauce I will eat, Peter Luger's from Peter Luger Steak House in Brooklyn. So I seared a NY Strip to rare in duck fat, topped it with Luger's and served it with Yukon Gold creamer potatoes comfited in honey butter.
