Been using my new v2 for the last 2 days and all i can say is i'm super glad i got ahold of Marc. This thing RIPS much better flavor than v1 and i can get some good thick clouds almost as fast as v1 now. Super stoked thank you Marc!!!!

Version 1 had a nichrome wire winding up the glass loading tube where as version two is a nichrom coil beneath the glass capsule. In theory i wouldnt see any reason not to be able to place a screen in there and have the herb placed in the tube rather than the capsule. That could possibly help...

If you like your oil decarbed get a still and you can reclaim like 95% of it other than that im not sure

Yes its in colorado i have some friends down there that get it from the liquor store. Where im at its online order only. My take on solvents are butane that is dewaxed is ok but everclear/grape alc that is done right blows bho out of the water.

In my experience that is 100% true grape extracted oil is so much more tastier than iso/everclear hands down n ive done quite a few side by side comparisons with the same buds.

I have also noticed that with the v2 it is hard to get the abv dark for me as of right now when vapor stops and the unit is pretty darn hot the abv is maybe a dark yellow hope its just a learning curve but this new version is most definetly harder to use than the last.

Definetly cannot get the clouds as you can with v1. But damn does it taste good and actually gets me more medicated on less than the v1 does. So i guess yah loose some but also gain some. More tinkering to be involved in the next week is a definate :science:

Got my new 2.0 today really like the design! @firewood if im looking at the unit with the switch towards me the right side of my unit where the seem is is loose i can press it in and make a gap? Is that something to be worried about? The previous 2 units i purchased of v1 did not do this.

Going straight to the slick mat is fine if its been winterized i blast into a mason jar let the butane purge out and pour in warm everclear to remelt then winterize/filter. Then its straight to the slick sheet. Everclear/Iso will not break down the slicksheet however butane will.
