    Discontinued The Hammer Vaporizer

I love that you are adapting The Hammer to you own style. One of the best things about the Hammer is that it plays nicely with other glass pieces. Here are some glass hammers I made. They are not bubblers, but they use the 14mm GonG adaptor.

The fuel settings cover a large range in order to make sure that the Hammer works at many different elevations. The same Hammer can work at sea level and on a mountain. The trade off for this flexibility is that not all of range is always useful to you. Someone that lives at a higher elevation...

Glad that you like it!! I really only adjust the flame size to compensate for ambient temperature. I use my Hammer out in my glass shop (which can get pretty cold). If the butane is cold, then I have to turn it up to get the same flame size that I would normally use (at room temp). Same thing...

The Hammer components are completely self contained and are not designed to be replaced. But you should also never have to service it... the Hammer is incredibly robust. I have several Hammers that still work just like new after more than two years of heavy use - more than 10,000 ignitions...

It is actually very easy to reproduce the results of any given session. As you are inhaling, you get a good sense of the temperature just by the feeling of the heat on your tongue. Once you have used the Hammer a couple of times, you will find a flame setting that works for you and then you...

A thermometer is a great idea. I have tried several different ways to build-in a thermometer, but have not yet found a design that works as seamlessly as I would like. It sounds like the Hammer would be the perfect vape for your friend. I use my Hammer everywhere, but it is really great to...

390F is not the minimum temperature... I just chose 390F for the example. You can control the Hammer to be anything from room temp all the way up to the maximum

To understand what is happening inside the Hammer, lets start with the flame size and time period to warm up. The same temperature can be created by using a small flame with a longer warm up time or a large flame with a short warm up. Even the smallest flame will reach vape temps in about 60...

Thank you... That is very helpful. Have you tried with thicker concentrates? Does it "vape out" of the pad cleanly... or does it become clogged after a few uses?

I have tried putting a bit of concentrate on top of a filled stem... and it worked very well! But concentrates are rare in my area and I havent been able to do as much testing as I would like to. What was the consistency of the material in your test (on the SS wool)?

The Hammer should actually work very well with e-cig juice, but I would not use cotton. Although combustion is unlikely, I would suggest putting a piece of very fine stainless steel wool in the glass stem. This should provide plenty of surface area to hold a few drops and will not burn. David

Just wanted to show a quick example of the Hammer's adaptability. This is an oil rig with a 14mm GonG adapted to work with the Hammer. The deep bowl makes an impressive amount of vapor.

The Hammer is made to easily fit into your pocket... only 5.29" tall. That is smaller than 2 disposable lighters. How does the size of the Hammer compare to your favorite portable?

What’s up guys… I am David and I created the Hammer. It looks like Aaron is providing great answers to your questions, but I just wanted to give you guys a little background on where the Hammer came from. When I started the design process, I created this list of requirements: Pocketable… I...
