That is the current conundrum. I wasn't sure if it's a new one or simply a repair job on the old used unit - but if it's a new one then I am a little (and I do mean a little) tempted... I haven't sent it off yet or paid for anything - just the quote for the 'repair'. The more I think about it...

I think 3-5 years is pretty generous. My Crafty gave me less than 2 years of life and a friend's Mighty also lasted around the same time before he noticed he had to keep it on charge most of the time.

Well, my Crafty woes probably stop here... I'm done with it. Had the battery replaced and it's doing exactly the same thing as before - the bottom of the vape gets very hot... and it does work if I keep hammering the power button and it decides to stay on - but it now also drains the battery in...

Many thanks for the replies, as I said in the other thread... The only time I bought some 'vape' batteries on Amazon I ended up with 4 button tops I have no use for - and really didn't want to repeat the same mistake. There are so many different types of batteries... Now I just cross my fingers...

Sorry to kind of post this again, but I was pointed here from the the other thread. Just want to double (no, triple!) check that these batteries are okay for the Crafty (not the + ... although the box has a sticker saying "20% more battery" (or something to that effect) There is no + symbol on...

I've gone through a few pages, watched some videos... but I just can't figure out what kind of replacement battery I need to order to fix my Crafty (not the +, the original one) I can see that according to this guide it's a 2800mAh...

Definitely a switchable battery - it was a broken Crafty that lead me here to these forums. I can't believe that they cost so much but in order to change the battery you have to send it back to them "for a small fee". For the amount they cost, it would be trivial to simply fit a proper battery...
