The mflb was very tasty to me the first few hits as long as you didn't heat it too long and char it.. The solo is great taste wise, if you keep the temp at 4. I would think most vapes have the ability to be tasty, as long as they have some sort of way to control the temperature.

If your herbs are browning on the first or second hit, your vape is set too high. I never load more than 1/2" high , and my bowls are usually around 1/4". I prefer the thick silicone stems so far.. they hit really good. The smell was a little weird the first few loads, but either the taste went away or I can't taste it anymore. They get much more use than the glass stems.

im pretty sure i heard this in one of TokinGLX's videos. he said the powder coating makes the whistle sound a quieter . Made sense to me, so i believed it.

I cheaped out and got a silver one as well. It kinda grew on me after awhile, and now I think I would prefer it to a black one. And i hear the black one has a quieter whistle as well, which i also wouldn't care for, as I've learned to depend on that noise to gauge my pulling speed.

I say you would be totally fine. If you are paranoid, don't hit it repeatedly and/or vape at lowish temp, to avoid the smokier smelling hits. You can also hold in your hits so there isn't much vapor on exhale. I find the hits from my surfer to be superior to my portables, so I always regret it...
