I have both and Solo is better in just about every category except the Flowermate is better for Pocket/stealth duty.

Is there a good glass extention for the Solo stem or a longer stem? Looking for another 2 to 3 inches for the bent stem for slightly cooler vapor, but not a water filter.

The V8 produces vapor well enough but the taste is still sort of funky. With these pics I can now see why with all that plastic and silicone. When I got it I was under the impression that it was all glass and steel vapor path like the Solo.

All the current Flowermates (V3, V5.0s, V8, and V7) go to standby at 5 minutes, and these are just rebranded Flowermates. Not a big deal to hold the button down 3 seconds and go another 5 minutes.

Only if I intake too much. Does not matter if you vape, or ingest, or smoke it when you have too much it takes longer to come back down. I don't vape concentrates for this exact reason: makes it too easy to over do it.

When ever I try a new strain it kicks my ass, but the effects seem to moderate after a few days. How many days do you wait before coming back to that same strain for that new strain effect to come back? How many strains do you need so you always get the new strain effect?

If you vape at low temps then your turning your hybrid into sativa like effects. The solo on level 2 (185 c / 365 f ) makes me very jumpy but over 400 f and I am more relaxed.
