they all will get darker with time, as i was told by @Dan Morrison, when i wanted my Okin darker. :) my wallnut vapman got darker after a year of use without any waxing or oiling, only by the skin oils of my sticky fingers. :)

the incompetence of the postal services never gets old. i almost got my Okin shipped back to Canada because of the german postal service. i think, i know how you might feel. maybe you're lucky und your VapCap still finds its way into your hands.

my bad. :) but maybe there are still some ways to achieve the look. for a project of mine i managed to cover a sheet of galvanized steel with a nasty layer of rust. it took some effort and time to destroy the protective coat, but it worked.

thanks @Unisonruss, i know it's far from being complete, i just wanted to share. :) i had no throat irritations at all. at least not from my limited experience of two sessions so far. but i didn't pull very hard, so that might have an influence. yesterday i used magic flight's finishing grinder...
