Yes, i've been there too! Or the opposite and had it running out mid press.. Slug.33 owners learn rather quickly to keep the torch topped off. You'll also find that ambient temps matter quit a bit as well. You will soon be a master. Like, in a day or so. lol

@-dab8- I heat at the very back bottom and I like to keep the spacer next to the forge. The idea is to let the heat gradually run to the front of the forge while you compress flower away from the heat source. By the time your done heating, the Slug.33 should should have just reached optimum...

yea, its fun to experiment. Just recently I took a cultivar and ran 4 different heat times, starting at 2:00 all the way down to 1:10. Big difference in the end product yield and flavor wise, I found it all to be wonderful smoke, and the effect seemed to be the same throughout.

They can all be used vertically if you have a base to press them on. The Fat Mac our 3.5 gram unit is designed to be used vertically and it comes with the base. Our 5 oz unit the Limax is also a vertical extractor. The .33 and Deuce are best used horizontally in my opinion.

For consistent results everything must be the same per cultivar. Same flame size, same exact heat time should give you repeatable results. Heat longer for increased yields, heat for less time for more flavor less yields. 15 seconds + or minus make a big difference! The key is finding that sweet...

The seepage isn't much. Most of the videos you see with the Deuce is without the seepkit.

I wonder if the PTFE will create an air tight seal and not let the rosin flow?? We had that problem when we tried to press against silicone.

i would not do that. I don't think there is anything wrong with parchment. How would you get the rosin off the parchment?

This is normal. If you watch my videos they all do this. The magic happens after that. Just keep going very slow. SLOW is the key SLOW CONSTANT PRESSURE until you bottom out.

    1. load with exact amount. Under packing will result in lower yields. Over packing will result in flower coming out the sides. 2. Keep flame size consistent. 3. once your heat time is up compress SLOWLY. Give the flower time to compress. 4. One minute is just your starting point. Add time or...
