yea, tolerances are pretty tight already, too tight and it becomes a pain in the butt to load. Especially those super frosty gummy cultivars. The hole starts to get gummed up as your loading it. Leakage from the back, is also a tell sign to stop heating soon, if not immediately. Compressing your...

UPDATE! Seepage from rear of Slug? This is not much of an issue with .33 owners although it can happen it doesn't very often. It seems to be more of an issue with the DEUCE. Believe me, I hate it! I would like to see ZERO seepage from the rear if ya know what i mean! BUT, GOOD NEWS! I just...

I know what you mean! Im very sorry about that, that is why I use a large coin and I epoxied it to the jaw of the vise. yes, they will stand on their own they will be made specifically for the 4 inch drill press vise. Its an issue I know. We are getting there thank you for your patience. RJ

I will usually let mine cool down for 10 minutes or so then I will clean it with a paper towel. It will still be quite hot at this point so you have to be quick. Or you could let it cool down or cool it down immediately, then clean it with alcohol. THE FORK does not need to go around the shaft...

I just uploaded a video yesterday of me using the SLUG.33 without a backing plate on a 4 inch drill press vise. Today I uploaded a video called ROSIN SECRETS and its just for SLUG.33 owners. I go over Torch's and the 4 inch vice and other options. How to place your SLUG.33 in the vice plates...

Sounds like you've got it figured out. I would agree 100% with everything you've said, adding heat at the end to force out rosin works great and turns a failed press into a winner. I think your right on the money with adding additional heat time.

what is your heat time? if yields are low, after you have tightened down as tight as she can go, add more heat ,,until rosin flows. not enough yield can usually mean not heating long enough. add 15 seconds.

One of my biggest yielders and oldest videos and for the first 2 months I used what many people would call substandard flower material. Actually it was very high quality material. It was older, produced a beautiful amber rosin at 20% all day long. People would comment that I should do a video...

Thank you very much. Average heat time with the many torches we have used is one minute to one minute and 30 seconds. So keeping that in mind, as long as flame size does not change dramatically it very easy to figure it out. The whole heating and compressing process takes only about 2 -3...

temp of torch does not concern me. " its not the heat source that matters, it is how long you heat with the source that matters. " Like I said in an earlier post, you could use a candle or a welding torch or a hot coal if we wanna get real un civilized, its more about learning how long you heat...

ive used a propane torch with, dual flame butane torch, a small torch lighter, and even a candle to make rosin with the SLUG.33. It not the flame more than it's the time of the flame that your using. That is why I recommend using the same torch with the same settings always.
