I like my Pi cap plenty, I just don't see many other options. I'm not really that hungry for more caps as my Pi works wonderfully but I do like to nerd out about all the different materials I could dab off of. It would be nice to have some sapphire to go with my sic and ruby inserts!

I'm in the same boat, only con of the 30mm life so far has been finding compatible inserts and caps.

I typically wipe my dish out with a dry q-tip after every dab, I just try to pay attention to getting all of the fibers out. I also find using a higher quality q-tip leaves less fibers, I've been liking Glob Mops for this purpose.
