I had the same issue with my first Solo. Send it back to Arizer for a replacement. You will more than likely get a new M106 or M107. Both seem to have no issue with the bad taste and smell (IMO).
I see a Lignum Vitae UberTwig in my future :D Still no luck with the Sumac? :( Hopefully you come across a little at the next stop. The Original Underdog looks real happy with the new stock pile.
Dave uses a different size silicone bowl with the glass stems. It has thinner walls than his regular 3/8 stems and is not as tight of as the standard stems are. I use the thin walled stems with glass and the regular stems when taking direct draws.
I have the vapecase hardcase as well and love it. I extended the battery opening to hold my medium Spacecase Stash Case as well. Works great! I would definitely recommend it for someone looking for a nice case to protect their Solo. EZVapes threw mine in for free with my Solo for $175.
I can't speak for anyone else but the reason I buy vaporizers is not to combust. If I wanted to combust, I wouldn't need to spend $200 on a vaporizer to combust in. My Thermovape, WISPR. MFLB, and Solo can all fit in my pocket.
The good thing about UD's is you can adjust the screen position. You am cool the vapor down by moving the screen away from the heater core or get fatter denser hits by moving the screen closer.
IMO the UberTwigs offer a denser cloud and I have never combusted in either of my UD's. I came very close one time with the Tupelo Goblet but it never combusted just charred a bit. Completely my fault though (I sometimes do dumb-ass things and get dumb-ass consequences).
Dave's pups can be adopted for a lot less than that ($150+). In fact, lost dogs are some of the cheapest log vapes around with all the performance of the regular pieces.
Good point HD, I guess I am just surprised at so many changes in such a short time. I too would be interested to know how how many units they produce in each run.
Did you have to preorder to be able to pick up in person :uhoh: ?
I was gonna order a Revolution for my TV tomorrow, but would rather be an early adopter of this.
