I have used a volcano before and personally I much prefer my UD through a piece of glass. This may be because I don't really like bag vapes as well. I prefer to take a nice big hit through a piece of glass. IMO a UD for home and a portables for on the go are all I need.

I am a believer that when you see the right piece, you will know. And like most of us, you will more than likely end up with several. Collecting log vapes is quit addictive! Personally, my recent favorites are bamboo ubertwig and Clark walnut burl twigs on page 64.

I would agree with that as well. My LSV definitely held more material than the UD can even though you can extend the size of the UD bowl. When using my UD with glass I will usually get 3 nice hits and one weaker hit. When using the LSV with glass I would get about the same amount of hits...

An LSV was my first home vape and I used it everyday up until I got my UD. After that, it sat in the case until the day I sold it. IMO, any one of my UD's hits just as hard as my LSV.

Have you tried the CRZ and the UD? I sold my LSV after getting my UD and can achieve the same high temp results.

I have read good things about the HI as well but don't have one to compare with the UD. I do know that UD offers a variable power supply as well. I Emailed the owner(Dave) and got him to send me one. Works great, I have to admit though that I rarely take it above 12. I find 12 is a good...

If your looking for a nice home vape I would agree that the Underdog is a good choice. No learning curve, conservative, big hits, and great taste. Truly hard to beat. I also have been on the cloud wait list for a while but ended up buying an Underdog to hold me over, I now own 5 of them...

Before trying the M106 I would have agreed with you as well Darkrom, and would have given a big edge to the UD. However, after trying the new version the taste is definitely on par with my UD. I don't know what Arizer did to fix the problem that supposedly never existed, but they did IMO.

I can give it a try. On vapor density the UD gives the thickest hits I have experienced with any vaporizer. The Solo gives the thickest hits I have experienced for a portable but it is hard to compare it to a home vape like the UD. Bowl size is also hard to compare as the UD has an adjustable...

My M103 also made the sound while heating up but I haven't noticed it with the replacement. Will listen out clearly for it the next time I use it (More than likely later today, I'm sitting down for some quiet time with the UD right now).

I never run mine over 6. At 7 the ABV is darker than I would like. I start at 2, then 4, and finish at 6. Occasionally I'll start at 3, then to 5, and finish on 6.

The agree, the straight stem is definitely more appealing to the eye(IMO).

My first unit I returned was a ceramic. I do believe the M105 and M106 are the same(I am not positive of this though).
