I have both and I still use the '18-M. Draw resistance is very load dependent on both. When I get a good drawing load, I just finish it off in a session. If not, I'll futz with it and stir a time or two. Draws one and two are the money-hits anyway.

I draw on duff which is up to 30% kief from some top shelf buds. No gumming up the works but a lot of dust on the walls of the draw straw. Dusts off quickly but yea, raw duff in the honey. I can see it on my 4" glass tube.
