Yeah, but you can use ss316l coils with TCR, and you'll avoid glowing too without the sacrifice of heating time like those ceramic heaters. Have you tried a spiral coil? I found it to work pretty well with velocity decks.

I recommend you to learn how to work with TCR (and PI if you have ArcticFox installed), because the temp settings obviously depend on the coils' setup. AliExpress or Fasttech. I used regular ss316L 20GA wire (and coiled it myself) with my Dreamwood glow.

Yeah, understandable for the Zenith for sure. I'm kinda paranoid about my glow's wood to keep the coil warm unnecessarily XD, but I guess it won't do much damage if it's not glowing.

Why do you find it necessary to autofire more than 30 secs with this heater? I found the 30 secs autofire with a similar heater perfect for me. I'd highly recommend you to start with p=700, i=90 or p=800,i=~100 if you have another mod with AF on it.

You can set TCR and PI up and make your life easier. That way, it'll stay on a specific "temp" (resistance).

The closest thing I tried is a big ss spiral coil (not with the glow's deck though). I guess you won't have great results with this because of the hole in the middle.

OK, how about this? I guess bamboo is ok to use, the diameter is 25mm so it's big enough, you can make it work with some decks pretty easy IMO, and you can just cut the length you need.
