How is the reclaim buildup? I had one of those dipsticks which were one of the first electronic straws. It was horrible and it just sucked up oil in the tube. Does thing actually vape all the oil it's consuming? Or does a lot of it get stuck in the straw?

I really don't think soaking SiC in ISO is a good idea. At most just use a dropper and drop a small amount on it. I just feel ISO is overkill for SiC. Just heat raise the temp up on your enail or use a torch. :2c:

Careful with the ISO. I did that and I had to heat the SiC way up to dry it out. Left a bad bad taste. Honestly my best advice is pretty simple. Keep qtipping until you have no residue left. Then take a qtip and dunk it in water and qtip one last time. That will keep the insert nice and clean...

A trick I've done with the High5 controller is an attempt at uptemp dabs. I usually have my 30mm at 550. What I will do sometimes is set it to 560. Once the numbers stop blinking on the PID I take my dab. It works pretty well at finishing dabs and no fancy PID with bluetooth is required...

I found another reason to LOVE the Liger w/ SiC. The cleanup for rosin is so much easier! I can't imagine dabbing rosin on any other surface! It's just too damn messy for quartz/sapphire. SiC is the perfect medium for rosin. :science:

In my experience it's whether I use mine as 10mm or 14mm that makes a difference. 14mm is much more stable/secure. The 10mm always wants to fall off if you aren't careful.

I'm at 550 and use the riptide and it's great, I'd imagine using that cap would be even better. Happy to hear those are so nice. I'll have to pick one up eventually. If only so I can say I own a nipple cap :lol:

Silver bucket with a sapphire insert is amazing. You can see right through the sapphire and the silver acts as a mirror and makes the oil look oh so sexy. Closet thing to a torch banger I've used.

I think some people are getting way too hung up on colors. You can always torch the metal to change it color. I'd worry about function personally.
