I finally found my preferred woodie combo! Smooth glass insert with amaze cooler and no baskets. This setup rips and has minimal restriction. The spiked insert added too much resistance for my taste, as did the baskets. I love my P80!

I look at it differently: Even when not spinning, the metal intercooler is still going to absorb heat from the vapor and should, in theory, cool your draw even if not spinning. Right? Full disclosure- I don’t have any personal experience with an intercooler yet.

It gets better and better the lower your temps, IMO. 180 is the highest I ever press. Try 175 and 170, and I bet you will get a real nice budder after 24-48 hours off the press. It will be a whole different consistency.

I’m not a fan of a drop down if it is not needed, and also not a fan of reclaim catchers. I find it so gross to not clean your glass and let it build up, plus I’ll ALWAYS go for fresh material over reclaim.

It is absolutely impossible to fully clean a nubs, drives me Fucking nuts. For this, I won’t get any more. If you like clean, try the bendy spikes. It has better cooling also.

I do not use On Demand mode as I don't like to leave a bowl partially vaped. I find it less efficient. I go straight to cruise and take in all the goodness back to back to back to back until it fully exhausts my material, usually around 2:30-3:00 mins. Try this mode and see if you don't...

I am reluctant to get all new bangers, I am so heavily invested in 90*. But I do understand your attraction. Great lines, simple perc, minimal diffusion and small mouthpiece, it checks a lot of boxes for me.

@Potato - Can you post a picture? Perhaps you need a set of hemostats? You can get hemostats just about anywhere, real nice sets with beefy grips and stronger materials can be found in fly fishing stores. The first combo I tried on my new amboyna burl was with spiked tube insert and S&B...

The raindrop is on my radar, but I have not tried it and am sorta on the fence... I do not tend to favor 45* joints. I think my next purchase is going to be not-so-cheap, I've got eyes on a Tree Fiddy Tiddy from Evan Shore. So clean and well executed.

I never use warmup. I find a few seconds on a deep inhale gets the coils HOT for big clouds on first draw every time. As Funky says, P80 LOVES airflow. *Edit* Just got back from the mailbox, and my replacement stems have arrived! Spiked bendy is back in session, definitely my favored stem...

I am also looking forward to this one... I think development/production might have been stifled by the pandemic. Hope they get up and going soon!
