Agree on the cotton. I've tried glass beads, flowers and jacks......they work, but the cotton is just easier with the same effect, for me at least. On top of that, cleaning is easier. I'm done fuckin around with it till Davinci gets their spacer thingy released. :zzz: Now off to enjoy some...

Sorry that it happened to you, but it's also appreciated that you shared that info.....I'm also a clean freak junkie and iso clean my Ascent all the time. I'll keep it to the bowl and rubber parts for now on.

Your spot on OF. No different than any cell phone out there. Go ahead and drain the battery dead...I guarantee it won't function right away if you plug it into the charger. It will need to partially charge the battery before it can function.

That looks like my original. I know that they said that that issue was worked out...the new version is supposed to be free of that defect. Up to you, but I personally would have them swap it out.

Those are what I'm using. My routine now is I medium pack the bowl, typically a 1/4 to 1/3 full, and fill the remaining void with these. It works tremendously well.

I won't be chatty ;)......but if you were able to place the order, your golden.

The only thing I sent back was the unit itself with a good ISO cleaning. No glass and no charger. My replacement was brand new in box with all new peripherals included. Davinci should provide you with what they expect though when you initiate the process.

The bowl area gets hot. The upper portion should not. Contact DaVinci and explain. A replacement sounds in order to me.

I sent mine back for mostly cosmetic issues, but I encourage you to swap it out because the other improvements, battery life, tighter seal, blemish free OLED display, better temp accuracy etc. make the swap completely worthwhile. Do it while the exchange window remains open.

I personally think those that have never owned or used the latest incarnation of the Ascent should refrain from posting opinions based on conjecture, hunches, inference, presumptions, supposition and any other synonym you can think of. It serves no purpose at all.....even if it's presented...

Little bit of a saga, but I have my replacement unit. I was a fan of my original unit and that hasn't changed with the updates applied to this version of the Ascent. The taste I get from this vape is excellent. Good clouds.......and most importantly, medicated.

Have to give credit due when deserved. @Davinci_vaporizer responded apologetically and quickly to remedy my RMA# 37 DOA replacement.

I swear....I returned my first unit for cosmetic reasons. My replacement unit arrived today and I waited with anticipation as it fully charged itself.....and when I went to turn it on after full charge indicator came on..........nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch. DOA....now how the fuck do they send...

Maybe a stupid question, but do you have anything in the herb chamber?
