Yeah, your right. :rolleyes: It's disgraceful how they did a major mea culpa and admitted that they had production issues, immediately stopped delivering more defective units, openly admitted what went wrong, promised all a replacement and/or money back, kept us in the loop with what they are...

I think the issue boils down to the unexpected QC problems and the fact that they stopped shipping anymore inventory to anyone. I'm pretty sure if there were no issues that you would already have yours in hand.

Mine also. It works great. I just got my replacement u type wt (1st arrived broken) and have been using it with a bubbler. Superb. Great clouds, smooth and the taste is amazing. And being able to watch the vape move thru the wt really teaches you how to take the right draw from the Ascent.

I also bought mine third party...actually on eBay at a greatly reduced price. So much so that I went to DaVinci's website and realized if I purchased and it went kaputzky, I was on my own. The eBay vendor said the same crapola how it was warranty covered and such....I knew better. The low price...

I postponed my RMA for a swap after a phone call to Davinci. As I stated earlier my only remaining issue was with the screen. After talking to them, they are unaware if new shipments will come with the screen deficiencies or not. They did promise, and in writing, that if new batches arrive free...

My take on it is that it was designed that way and has been like that thru all the months of testing and never presented itself as an issue. The issues were dealing with now are QC problems and apparently some silicon material sourcing.

I have no scratches on the surface. The 'defect'/issue is clearly on the bottom side. I have an original DV with a display screen, and while smaller, looks of similar material and is flawless.

They did. But the issue is not on the exposed surface....rather it appears to be on the mounted surface. I was hoping that this wasn't going to be considered a feature vs correctable manufacturing glitch.
