I've got an original teflon and glass core plus the teflon QC. I prefer the teflon core and for the most part use the QC version, and to be honest, if I want a hard finishing hit or two, Red heat level does me right. The update will be worth it.

Try cleaning the small contacts between the power puck and/or battery and the core unit. It's what solved my issue with older battery with the exact same scenario you are having with power puck.

Mine has done this also... I narrowed it down and proved that it is the battery/power contacts between the unit and the power source. As for the other poster that said their lights kept blinking, never seen that. I have original Teflon and glass core and Teflon quick core.

Pack the end of the straw and try that. Leave crucible out. Push straw to base of bowl.

When you say your using the dosing caps, your using the Fury ones right? The Fierce ones don't fit in the straw like the Fury ones do.

I don’t know if anyone makes something like this anymore but some of us in past were able to get a Delrin adapter that fits on lid. I use mine with glass J-hook and it cools down the vapor tremendously and the flavor train reveals itself
