I would suggest trying medium or high from the beginning, you can draw before it turns green to get that yellow-level hit but it will heat up and get those higher-temp cannabionoids pretty quickly (before the flavor suffers). I think the mflb heats up to at least Pax-medium if not Pax-high, I...

Well that was quite the ace up your sleeve! But I think they are pretty comparable with such a small load, the time you aren't drawing is practically nothing with 0.1g. With the Pax you can finish it all on high in under a minute where the mflb might take a bit longer but 5-10 minutes after the...

Jesus guys this thread is going in circles... bonus points for those who were here the first time I posted this! Since this is the order I originally posted it, this is the largest bowl I packed: This was all way back in the beginning when I was explaining to new users that the key to the...

This really belongs in you pax vs. mflb thread, your other two posts at at least were helping describe the thermodynamics to a member who asked for help, but what is this? "Wrong tool?" "ahead of flavor and cost?" did you buy a Pax all of a sudden? We should at least get a chance to defend the...

Did you open it and they broke? Mine are still intact but if they do break I'm planning on just leaving them out. This whole discussion was whether they did anything, or if they were just so Ploom can tell you opened it.

Waxes & oils I always sandwich between herb but bubble and kief you can just pack right in! I said the first one, someone else said the second ;) Hehe, jk but if you look, the gap between the metal and plastic is outside of the oven door! And it's also really tight so I don't think they're...

Ah ha! That's why their original take-down note had a bit of a sour tinge to it... If you look at their site they have since edited it: https://www.vaporstore.com/proddetail.php?prod=pax-vaporizer They used to say this: Imo the edit was pretty appropriate, it's good they corrected...

Ok I take it back, when you're trying to reload with a hot bowl it becomes a different beast... If I'm in a hurry I use the edge of the oven lid, but usually I just wait until it's not too hot, and use my finger very quickly, letting it cool down in-between pokes.

I just use my finger :D I know most of the time the bowl will tap out, but this is great for those times it's being a bitch or you gunk it up with wax or oil. Hehe, if you must know, this is where I got my name from: http://download.lardlad.com/sounds/season15/furriest21.mp3

This is my easiest "mod" yet but I tell you, I'm using it more and more and it's just great! DIY Pax Tool Materials - Pliers & a paperclip And I guarantee people of all skill levels can pull this one off ;) Just make sure it fits inside the lip of the mouthpiece for storage, and the...

The problem isn't so much the battery they picked, it's that the Pax only uses about 50% of whatever battery you connect to it. Lithium batteries are designed to go down to about 2.7v, but the Pax flashes red when it gets below 3.7v, meaning you still have plenty of power the Pax just won't let...

That's the same issue murph was having, the Pax goes from heating to temp change when you close the circuit beween the spring and the tube with the metal mouthpiece. Either your spring is dirty and not touching bare metal, or the wire inside broke and is wiggling around (seems unlikely)

Did you get any in the gap outside the vapor path? Where the mouthpiece goes into is a spring, when you put in the mouthpiece it connects the metal of the spring and the metal of the tube which makes it start heating. You might have got the spring dirty so sometimes the metal isn't touching?
