Heat is as good as iso imo. Think about how you can clean the oven with a q-tip hot but it takes a sharp point to chisel it away when it's cold. My mouthpiece is actually kind of slow/stiff when cold because I'm trying to see how long I can go without cleaning but so far doing the few clicks...
