First off, excellent work there. Very nicely done. If interested I searched for a similar switch and found almost the identical switch here. This switch has a higher current rating of 10 amp @120 volt where as the switch you used is rated at 3 amp 250 volt. Also, curious as to how the top of...

People are buying this particular battery because it has been discontinued and suits our application very well. EDIT: Tweek is just too fast. Must have gotten his meds today.

I do love tinkerers. Kind of reminds me of someone. hmmmm. Suppose making a "snap on" parallel battery pack is possible if using the side holes for the positive side. It would be hard to tie in the switch though. Also putting batteries in parallel causes other concerns. Now practicality is...

First off, welcome to FC, lots of interesting information and fun here. Quite the enthusiastic first post I must say. IMHO, if you can comfortably get a full load done per battery then that is well designed. If seeking more loads have more batteries on hand.? If you were to redesign for what you...

You have the right idea here in getting a more common supply usable for the Cera. However, unfortunately ohms law will not work as easy as you are hoping. There are two equations to get the numbers in perspective. 1/ I (Amps)= V (Voltage) / R (Ohms) or I=V/R therefore V=IR & R=V/I 2/ P...

Nicely done and keep us up to date on any changes. Running on a 17650 cell is good to know information as I can get 2 sessions per charge on a 18650 but always start a session on a fresh charge so most of the charge is never used. Thanks for the info, Pipes

Thank you very much. It's been a blast getting it all to this point. Sounds like your well into the fun. Getting pulls after your turn the power off is something I never achieved. That and your wait time indicates a fair size ceramic. Finding the right balance in this regard is what I have been...

Unfortunately I have to wait to try it out in real life action. But from just looking through it, I do not think there is much improvement as for looking into the chamber however I'm hoping to be able see the vapor easier as it raises above the top. I ordered this before the S2 so might not be...

I sure agree with you there. By modifying technique, the 3.7 volt can be used without a spacer. Draw earlier and faster to keep heater from getting to combustion temperature. But as you said, easier to go too slow or too long and combustion occurs. But can get huge clouds easy enough when...

Good stuff. Have to admit I never did a dual coil once I went to 3.7 volt set up. Couple questions for you if it's Ok. What resistance are you running at? Continuous power or on demand momentary switch? And lastly, any chance you can throw a couple pics in to show your creation? Thanks...

The search for the perfect coil continues... I have tried a few variations of the vertical winding now and zeroing in on the coil which delivers AND is as conservative with power as possible. Here is a link to my album which contains many photos of my vertical coil efferts. It contains...

I not sure what OF has to do with a failed unit, but I read it that the problem lies under the core as TET had advised him. MM, man I feel for ya. I'm sure TET will make it right in the end.

You could try one of the lesser aggressive mods to confirm the theory of a bad switch. You would sleep better. :D The bottom here is a simple thing to try. Ignore the upper switch part. I believe jdee said it was from a cart container lid. He explained it in a later post.

No need to explain, actually you are correct in the fact that some might interpret it that way. And steel wool can cause damage if not careful and focused on moving just along the threads to clean any burrs and smooth over any nicks. Not as a regular thing but more of one desperately trying to...

I want to clarify my earlier statement regarding the use of steel wool. I was in no way trying to remove the threads. My problem was severe binding at one point and managed to use penetrating oil to work it free. This was caused by my own negligence in not cleaning the threads when they first...
