    Discontinued The Grasshopper

I find my Grasshopper's performance is very similar to my nano's. The hopper really is like a portable log, if it was made of wood the comparison would be more obvious. Still, functionally speaking I find the performance of both remarkably similar.

Sticky Brick Junior by Sticky Brick Labs

@younaughtyboy congrats! I was wondering who would be the first to receive their Junior, I didn't expect it to be someone new! Welcome to FC and the Sticky Brick family!

Which portable vaporizer should I buy in 2016?

There are several reasons I'm usually lower temp: 1. Flavor. The lower the temp the better the flavor, and the longer it lasts. 2. Safety. Toxic compounds begin to be released around 392°F. It's still safer to vape at high temps than smoke, but lower temps are safer. I usually use water pipes...

Which portable vaporizer should I buy in 2016?

I would go with the Boundless CF. With the FC-1 discount code at puffitup.com it's just over $100. It offers almost identical performance as the CFX but is much more pocketable. It doesn't go as high temp as the CFX, but I almost never use those higher temps on my CFX. As far as the ideal...

    Dynavap VapCap

This is true, but I can't even imagine a scenario that would require replacement of an omni, besides losing it.

I'm loving the multi wood look! Is that a CCD on the magnet of the bottom Dynastash or a is it a laser engraving?

Good vaporizer for an 80 year old man with dementia and parkinsons?

That's a concern that I thought about too. It's hard for me to say because my manual dexterity isn't impaired, but I find the CFX easy to turn on. It doesn't necessarily have to be exactly 5 clicks. I've found if you just press the button like crazy it will turn on. I don't count 5 presses I...

    E-Nano from Epickai

FC is the best source of advice I've found for everything related to this industry. Grinders, torches, storage, the list goes on and on. I've learned so much here. People here know their shit and have high standards and I love that. The nano really requires no special equipment. You can be set...

    E-Nano from Epickai

In my experience it's worth it to pay a little extra for a good grinder. I use an SLX, the non stick coating eliminates many issues I had with grinders. There a lot of good grinders out there: http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/herb-grinders.15/page-289 I'm not using any kind of grind tonight...

    E-Nano from Epickai

In short, no. The nano can handle anything from fine grind to no grind. The finer the grind, the quicker the extraction, and quicker loss of flavor with bigger hits. Also, your airflow is reduced the finer in grind that you go. I like a medium to medium-fine grind with my nano. When I'm going...

    Dynavap VapCap

That's funny, I was just thinking the same thing. My burly with the ceramic screen has the worst performance of all three, and that screen has the lowest airflow. My omni is closer to the OG, but it has the flowermate titanium screen which has better airflow than the ceramic. I do think the...

I don't understand it either. The glass tip seems to heat up and cool down faster so perhaps there is less cooking of the load while you're not hitting it than with the Ti tip? I really have no clue.

If I'm home my nano is on. There's nothing as comforting as a warm log ready for action. Just doing my part to keep the universe in balance. ;) :science: :peace:

    Dynavap VapCap

In my experience, the Ti tips perform great. They were all I used for a month. The glass tip simply performs better. I get better flavor, denser vapor, and more hits from my material. Ti tips are great and I recommend one of each if possible. The best combination is probably the Original and...

    JoDa Glassworks

Congrats on your first JoDa purchase, and purchasing the first Junior! You and I will be enjoying our JoDa glass and jrs. together my friend. I've already got a few ideas to try and rig the jr. up to my recycler. It's a shame my Brick is missing out on all the fun.

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

I've been testing SS vs Ti with the following methodology: They both had a brand new, fresh from Hopper Labs, fully charged battery. I've packed the same amount of material in each of them, and alternated hits. I did all my testing at temp 5. First chamber was dry, no mouthpiece. I started...

I strongly encourage anyone who is placing an order to add an OG if you can fit it into your budget. It does seem to perform noticeably better than the Ti tip. I wish I had bought one sooner.

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

More thoughts on Ti vs. SS: From the beginning the flavor is better in the Ti. I'm not getting the same metallic taste that the SS has, which was worse when it was new. The Ti flavor is more "pure". The Ti unit seems to stay cooler at the mouthpiece, maybe it's just taking longer to heat up...
