I find my Grasshopper's performance is very similar to my nano's. The hopper really is like a portable log, if it was made of wood the comparison would be more obvious. Still, functionally speaking I find the performance of both remarkably similar.

I don't understand it either. The glass tip seems to heat up and cool down faster so perhaps there is less cooking of the load while you're not hitting it than with the Ti tip? I really have no clue. :shrug:

I strongly encourage anyone who is placing an order to add an OG if you can fit it into your budget. It does seem to perform noticeably better than the Ti tip. I wish I had bought one sooner.

More thoughts on Ti vs. SS: From the beginning the flavor is better in the Ti. I'm not getting the same metallic taste that the SS has, which was worse when it was new. The Ti flavor is more "pure". The Ti unit seems to stay cooler at the mouthpiece, maybe it's just taking longer to heat up...
