It does make me less inclined to clean the mouthpiece. Or just use it for concentrates. I mostly use a Splinter or a Milaana, but the flavor from the FF2+ is pretty delicious.

That screen is a PITA to get back in, that’s for sure. I managed to drop it on the floor while trying to get it back in. That was fun finding it again. It doesn’t really seem to snap in, it just sits in the mouthpiece. I’ve been using a Santa Cruz Shredder for the FF2+, and when I disassembled...

I’ve done that. You don’t want to do that.

You can also use the stem with basket inserted as a straw and suck the material into the stem. This is the method I most often use and it works well. As for insertion, I usually invert the mod with the Splinter screwed in and lower it onto the stem, then turn it right side up.

So my purpleheart custom Z arrived: Loving it so far, have retired the bubinga for a backup.

Right now I’m running my custom Z on a Reauleaux gen3 dual. Arctic Fox, 42w preheat for 2 seconds, then auto fire at 35w. I’m turning a xl8r stem in the Splinter on a slow pull. I’m getting incredible flavor and clouds. Good, even extraction. Vapor is delicious. What do I need tc for?

I’ve always liked the looks of the purple heart Z more than the bubinga, so I bought it. That’ll probably become my main driver and the bubinga the backup.

I know this, and yet despite having a custom Z bubinga, and 2 Splinters (one a v2, one a custom walnut) I’m thinking of buying a purple heart custom.

I have an Si on a Espion 200W and have been using wattage mode with a set of SS coils. I've felt no need to move to TC and I'd second the advice from @Urbanistic and @SparkyMcBowl - play with it in wattage mode first and then if you feel the need, there's lots of information here on how to move...

16 minutes for me. It’s pretty much RBT (custom Z, Splinter custom and v1, mi2) and Dynavap for me at this point. Still sticking to wattage mode.
