You can find a lot of discussion about that in this thread over the past couple months. Essentially, a couple enhancements like faster heat-up and better exterior shielding, but mostly refinements for better reliability, which is why the Plus comes with a 2-yr warranty that can be extended to 3-yr.

Use very hot water and mix well. Only a small amount is needed. Since you can't soak the joint (the oxidizing agent works best with time), you need to do more rubbing with the qtip than otherwise. With my HydraLine I can see much better than with my straight tube, because I can easily see the horizontal chamber. I can also see the vapor actually flowing through the intake tube section that connects the joint to the chamber. A really great piece. :luv:
