Look what i found..... As soon as I saw it, reminded me of @ataxian for some reason? :D It's like the WT which has been posted a few times now. @OF's find at DHGate started it I believe. This one is the same as DHGate sells but under 1/2 the price. And also with free shipping here. Yet...

Yep, sounds normal. Mine struggles in those temperatures as well. Have to wait longer between tokes and draw slower. Maybe not the vape for skiing...? Somehow I managed threw those months though....:freak:

So seems your batteries and charger are fine. What is the external temperature like where your vaping? I do remember that in the winter, while in the cold car. mine would go into heating on every inhale. Someone posted a page or two back that using the silicone shield might help this effect...

    $5 18650 PV Mod

Hey there. You are correct that a better switch is best here. I went through a couple as well. Never did find a direct higher rated replacement. Found some that looked promising but not worth the expense and effort. However, the good thing is that so much has changed in the ecig type power...

Sorry but I really cannot recommend anything but OEM. Will they work? Probably..... If using, take it out after a session and feel it's temperature. A good indicator if asking too much from it. Warm is OK, hot, not so much.

You make an excellent point here. The other manufacturer's trick I have noticed, is that the batteries which have high mAh ratings sometimes rate the high end charge at 4.3 volts as well. Shoving more power into them....which of course shortens their lifespan but increases capacity for the ones...

IMO, you are a lucky guy. Your stem on the right has the break in the exact area mine did. Therefore, you can do this mod without any cutting. just the brazing that you already did. The stem on the left (no bevelling in) might require some more enginuity. I have been using since posting and has...

Hey, you have a candidate for a cool mod. I had a broken stem in which the bowl was good as well. This is what I ended up doing... Still working like a champ too.

That is all I use in my WPA w/ D20. Works perfect when held down with a clip. I've actually never had to even take it back out. I use Powdered Brewery Wash to clean my D20. While the D20 is soaking, I put the WPA in place and add a little extra water to the stem to make the solution come up over...

    Titan vaporizer

280c is pretty borderline. This tape will be in "direct" contact with element which is likely well above that temp at times before the heat gets evened out over the bowl. IMO, higher rating is needed. 400c or better would make me more comfortable for sure. 280c should be fine for holding the...

Hey Sticky, welcome to the fun. You made a great purchase. You will get use to the 10 minute timer. For me it's telling me to step up the temp for the second round. Two possible solutions here. Get the person on your right to start it off and pass the other way. Then you get the last go before...

    Titan vaporizer

Good suggestion. I just used as was handy and cleaned up fine with ISO. The gunk was mainly from tape residue as you pointed out. Or from it's own self adhesive. Kapton tape could also be used to hold down the Cellucotton for that matter. I was looking for some with high temp adhesive...

    Titan vaporizer

Hi Zorn, I pretty much gave up on the Titan2. But if was to play some more, I would not use the silicone tubing as conducts too much heat from the bowl. I'd go with Cellucotton held on with high temp O rings. The original element is used just for it's insulative abilities. Since the material is...

I have never used that charger but the specs look very nice. Has a discharge function so it calculates the capacity. Could come in useful. Cut off is 4.2 volts and charges at .5 or 1 amp. All is good there. I have a NiteCore D4 on order myself. Currently using 3 different chargers for different...

I think it depends on the amount built up and the length of time you have it heated. What I found, which gives an added bonus every few bowls, is to do a normal sess until the timer stops. Wait a couple minutes while the unit sits right side up, go for a high level session and it seems to go...

Another contender for a great torch vape is the Lotus. I enjoy it when time won't allow for a AA session. Have not tried a VM but suspect it's a similar experience. Useful for "vape on demand" style enjoyment. Not to mention the huge hits that are possible. Having the two different type vapes...

Thanks for the input, and safe is always the best policy. The amount of any exposed epoxy is quite minimal as the fit is not overly loose. In fact I could not find any gasket material thin enough to fit the space. (even heat shrink tubing was too thick) Epoxy in general is pretty solid in this...

Hey follow FCers. Got back from holidays to find a little present arrived from DHGate. A very cool addition for sure. Kudos to OF for posting the link. I lucked out big time on the normal slight imperfections related to the process. The inside tubes are all straight and centered with perfect...

The FM I have is only good for 2-3 hits before losing taste and likes lots of herb to do so. The AA is a better choice and spares your weed. Not to mention the added yucky taste the FM inserts. IMO, comes from the Kaptan tape it uses to the hold the wrapped heater around the oven. AA for sure...
