    Discontinued The Grasshopper

Not knowing exactly how the GH's electronics work I can only speculate on this. But the fact that there is no third path for temperature feedback, has me thinking they are using the same technology as the ecig guys have deployed. They do not use any temperature sensor but rather use ohm's law to...

LOL, that was actually before I was done. More solder was added and ISO washed afterwards to remove the excess flux. That pic was after first dap to mix new with old solder and then wicked back off to see where I was at. Just reheating old solder usually fails down the road. @Bravesst...

This may help. You can see where I had a solder break and had to fix it up. Good luck. Excellent score!!

With the size being that big and input current at 1.5 amp, are you sure it's not 5000 mA (5 Amp) out and not 500 mA? That would mean you were thinking of the older Solo's in PA mode...? Just a thought. This is the playstation supply ratings.

I can't think of any use for it @Bravesst. Voltage is wrong for both Solo and Air. The low current makes it useless for even the older Solos in PA mode. (Needs at least 3 amp.) If it's charging your Solo, it is border lining doing so. Likely take longer to charge..?? Glad you're enjoying the...

I try not to overthink it. To make things easy, I change the battery after every 2nd bowl. Can get a 3rd but that pushes the battery down to where it doesn't like to be. Best advice is get a routine going and enjoy it.

These numbers are what I also get. I got two batteries when I purchased and found the cell that came installed seems to have less capacity than the other. Wrote it off to a flaky cell. The other cell pretty much matches my others ecig batteries. Note, that I don't want to get into what batteries...

    The Lotus Vaporizer

You're quite welcome. If you have trouble with a Vapman you will likely find the same with this unit. Others love it and find not hard to control at all, including myself. But admittedly, I have had it combust on occasion. To me, not a big deal but can see it being a huge deal to folks like...

    The Lotus Vaporizer

You got it right. Vapman is close to 100% conduction. Lotus is close to 100% convection. Both well made units, both can scorch loads if used wrong.

Yepper, but need to do an EGO to Solo stem mod. You will find all kinds of glass for this size on Fastech. Pretty much the only piece I use now. More draw than the plastic tip stem but less than the open glass stems.

Without knowing what conditions about having 7 sessions, (temp, back to back, packed, ect,) I'd say your not too far off with the number 7. Are you getting 7 sessions with the Air? 4 is more typical? Yes, the Solo has protection to NOT allow it to be used with low battery. However, continuing to...

Thanks Max, sounds good. I can tell you the old cap indeed does last well over a year. I got mine at your 420 sale 2014 so it's 16 months old, and still kicking ass. Never have taken apart. Looking pretty ripe so never touch the top anymore neither. Just keeps on kickin!!! Max, Since I have...

Not a good sign. If it is indeed the switch itself, it will work with a mushy feel but could become very intermittent. More for "phantom" contacts. Warranty is the solution for this. Another possibility is there is some residue around the button itself, causing it to be sticky and not free to...

I have to agree, the hardest part to get clean. What I do sometimes is use a wooden qtip and break in half. Use the wood end dipping in ISO and scrapping away at the stained part. A slow process but gets it off without scratching the glass. Trick is to use something hard but not metal to avoid...

OF has again nailed it here. I have one of those small bubblers and the brewers wash works great. Mix up some mix in a glass and pour into the bubbler, shake for a while, fill till full and let sit for 30 minutes or so. If really mucked up, longer might be needed. Good stuff.

I did not need to cut. The break was in a good spot. I did flame it to smoothen the edges. Seems to be a lot of glass compatible with that O ring scheme. A great thing IMO. My next one will need a little cutting down to shorten the profile. Have done before using a dremel tool and tape. I used...

Cool WT. Please post a link to it if possible? Yes, I have done exactly as you speak about here. I do intend on making a second one as well from another OEM stem that is partially broken and shortened already. They do work great. I use with the straight glass tube for the most part these days...
