Any vaporizer that can get hot enough, which most can, will be able to extract most everything of value from your herb. An E-Nano, SSV, DBV, Lotus, even the old (And reliable) VaporGenie can roast your bud to an equal level of extraction; the question is more how easily it can do so, whether it...
I received my Hebalaire a week or so ago and have thus far been happy with it; weed comes out perfectly evenly baked a medium brown (I can get darker with my VG glass and Hammer, but not as consistently) and operation is dead simple. Thus far I've found that grinding makes a difference in the...
I don't own either, full disclosure.
Having looked at and considered buying both of these vapes, I'd go Lotus. Daisy has nothing but rave reviews here, but frankly so does the Lotus, and you mentioned wanting a glass piece in the future which the Lotus will accommodate very well.
I'll defer to...
The Air uses the same heating element, stainless steel chamber, and glass parts as the Solo, so if you don't like the Air you won't like the Solo. The only significant differences between the two are size and batteries: Air has swappable batteries but only one in the unit at a time, the Solo has...
I just ordered a Herbalaire which should be arriving some time next week.
There are several reasons why, but ultimately for me vaporizing is about the destination rather than the journey, and the Herbalaire appears to be built with that philosophy.
Thank you all again for the discussion!
The design of the screen ridge makes them a horrid pain in the ass to keep clean, in so far as maintaining airflow.
At least a local headshop sells tiny screens for pennies a piece.
Hello,
I've noticed you're a common advocate of the Hammer, so I figure you'd be the one to ask: What are good alternative stems? I asked the Underdog thread but apparently those stems don't fit the heat exchanger on the Hammer, and as much as I like the unit itself the stems are fragile and...
Thanks again folks, and you've convinced me: My next portable will be a Mighty.
In a year or two perhaps; the Solo, Hammer, and VG are all more than good enough for portable units to take outside the house for now.
I'm now looking at plug-in units and while log vapes are popular for good...
Which turns into $504CAD. ;)
Honestly, while I can spend that on a vape I would really rather not, especially on one that I have never tried and which has had many issues, even if they seem to be getting better.
The Hammer is basically a generic soldering iron bottom attached to their heat exchanger. It absolutely rips, as advertised, but whether it's lack of conduction extraction or something else it just doesn't get me as high as even the Solo using the same amount. Maybe I'll try cramming a nugget...
Thanks for the replies!
From doing more reading you're right about a plug in being the way to. Sounds like herbalaire is probably what I'm looking for, I don't like bags so the poor bag system is moot.
Thanks folks, sounds like not what I'd been hoping for.
Their support was fantastic with regard to another question as well, Underdog seems pretty legit.
Hi,
I took up vaporizing some years ago due to the lesser smell, and kept at it for the savings on weed. While I don't smoke very often however, the high from a joint still surpasses what I can attain from a vape, likely due to some active canabinoids having boiling points near or at the point...
How well do the underdog stems fit? I've had my Hammer for a couple weeks and one of the included lock on stems has already cracked down the bell that fits onto the silicone ring, if I'm going to keep using this thing I'm considering UD nylon stems.
Thanks.
One more question for now: What's the draw resistance like? Despite it working very well I dislike the Solo due to its heavy draw resistance, and even the Hammer has a little more than I like.
