The DaVinci has gone through upgrades and has had "the kinks worked out" as you say.
That being said, the Ascent was built upon everything that was learned from the DaVinci. Which is not to say, despite their attention to detail, that there might not be a kink or two which is always a...
Hey guys & gals --
Mind if we drop the "how can I get free stuff" discussion and go back to discussions about popcorn awaiting more data from our reviewers.
:P
If only there was a page where all of the facts about the Ascent had been collected in one spot so that every body could reference--at will--the answers to factual questions.
:P :)
Yeah, top & bottom of the bowl, right? As the holes are the same size on the bottom of the bowl and on the glass screen, correct? So can you fit the second screen on the top and have no issue closing it?
Yeah, they are quite nice. The Macro shots are great. And good lighting.
I looked up the EXIF data on the images, and if anyone is wondering it is a Canon PowerShot ELPH 300HS.
Nice clean shot of the glassware.
Possibly BOTH top and bottom? If you are using a grind that fine...
Heh... seems I've been doing that a bit today.
I'm like a kid at Christmas, and I don't even have a toy under my tree. ;)
So much for getting any work done today....
EDIT: Damn. I really like the grill the more I look at it. Looks like an auto from the 50's, with the two side holes...
I was LMAO at the people that got trolled.
Still great pictures!!
I've been wondered that myself for months. They can't really go down the glass stem that has the glass screen, so top or bottom of bowl?? HR has them in hand, so you can tell us if they fit...
Yeah, I was...
Yeah, the rep had slightly mentioned that before ("For example, you set it to stay at 360 for 3 mins, go up to 375º for 2 mins and then to 380º for 2 mins"), but now we can clearly see it in the photo (last one) for the first time. More detail.
So, it *looks* like (guessing from the photo)...
The adaptors ARE for water pieces. It looks like the retractable stem/straw is removed and replaced with the adaptor(s), then they couple with your water device. Usually most pieces are one of the two diameters (unless highly custom)
Uhhhh.... not to nit-pick, but isn't the purpose of a review unit, to... uh... review it? That involves words and pictures.
And quite possibly video.
:)
I think you already have the "okay from DaVinci."
Now post some Ascent-pr0n! ;)
AWESOME way to start a day!
(I may or may not have just wet myself a little.)
Questions:
• What are the three extra screens? Obviously not the glass stem piece with the built in screen as you mentioned that later. Metal screens? Glass???
• Rubber plugs be the mouthpiece cover?
•...
OMGOMGOMG.
Very clear video of both adobewan's piece and the straight adaptor. The coolest parts of the video are A) seeing the oil can in action, and B) getting a much more clear notion of the adaptors.

EDIT (trying not to loose more karma by...
Great! I've kinda been thinking of asking about this, and now I find a thread.
I do not currently grind, and my oooooold vape doesn't lend itself to ground material too well. I do tear by hand a bit (guess prolly better to get surgical scissors, but I wasn't born with those at then end of my...
Hasn't been posted yet.
Not much in the means of new info, but cool to see more of the device.
Wood Burl is shiiiiiiiny under those lights.
FC shout-out!! ("a lot of input on the device" :) )
