The DV rep said that... a long time ago. I *believe* it was either an old design or mis-spoke about the power button on top, confusing that with the charging port on the bottom.
I have that noted as questionable on the wiki as I hadn't heard back yet from THR, nor do I have a unit to...
Oh, I probably saw it every time, and it just didn't translate in my head into a vape I was familiar with.
I really do like my 1.0, especially with friends. But it's a little overkill just by myself, and its 7(?8??) years old, hence why I was in the market for a new one, which brought me here...
Mark/Sticks -- Where did this question come from? Did sticks make a comparison between the Vapolution2.0 and the Ascent? I've gone back a few pages and I'm not seeing it (could be a coffee deficiency on my part).
I have the 1.0 (not tried the 2.0 but I can't imagine they are too far apart), so...
I really need diagrams to discuss this at this point.
:)
You are right as to the conduction of the glass.
The holes on the top ONLY accommodate ingress because nature (and household pets) abhors a vacuum. You need that delta T from the conduction to alter the internal pressure. And for that...
We have three excellent people here that have their own versions of the devices in hand: Slightly Medicated (SLiM), TheHerbalReview, and stickstones.
They have all proven themselves as reviewers that would rather reserve proclamation, pending analysis. They would rather get it right, than...
Yeah... I normally agree with you. That is... when I can understand you.
:P
Heh... Yup. It's there for a reason. But still, doing simple airflow analysis, the only way I can see it works is by the increased pressure produced by the lid (Yup. Vapelife Will never has seen the inside of a...
MM -- the oil cans have been DESIGNED to produce a specific result. Not that I don't think your cotton idea is bad (I think, from everything I've read, that would be fine). My raising this issue is more about the airpath that the oil cans generate. We have ZERO data (No, I do not call Vapelife...
CITATION NEEDED
EDIT: I thought TheHerbalReview had a shot I could find that clearly showed the oil cans (only shot I found was a side shot). I also thought there was a bottom opening, like what I understand is in the DaVinci oil cans. I could be wrong about both, which is why I'm asking for...
That's an easy one: They do NOT have final versions.
EDIT: Found quote
--------------------------------------------
Allow me to point out that this "reviewer" 1) has not participated in this thread previously, 2) has a post count so low that he is NOT a contributor to FC so much as...
:)
From my previous post above:
WHICH IS NOT TO SAY that there aren't better ways than the engineers designed to use the device. I mean, the designers are experts in their field (Of which will is *NOT* despite him thinking his puffing is "science")...
But designers can't think of...
Hmmm... why not use the lid? Wasn't it DESIGNED to be used with a lid?? He excuses that by saying he isn't going to turn it upside "sideways", but that's NOT WHAT THE LID IS FOR.
The lid affects the airflow, so why use the device incorrectly to review it? Wouldn't make more sense to use it...
Now that you say, that, I think I recall them saying something along those line.
Shipping directly, as indicated, doesn't surprise me at all, and is done often. But a direct quote from DV would trump that.
EDIT: Found one of the quotes. Looking for the other:
EDIT EDIT: FYI units are...
It won't be done by GV. As explained above, it is done before it is put into retail packaging.
Usually you have either one of your own people supervising, or you hire someone local there to manage the factory. (Otherwise, the factories will try to get away with anything and everything.) This...
One of the issues we've run into, is that you never know with customs. Some times a lot will just sail through, and the next time an identical lot will stall out for an undetermined period of time.
It's a crap-shoot.
Poonman -- If that's my comment you are talking about, FOR ONCE I wasn't being sarcastic. ;)
Medical Mark -- Yup. See my edit on previous post.
EDIT: Most likely the units are being packaged at the factory (including production of the packaging). So when they leave the factory, they should...
I've dealt with manufacturing in China. I'm not surprised.
EDIT: Additionally quite a few companies will ship straight from the factory to the end customer. I've watched things like laptops get stuck in customs by just paying attention to the tracking number.
