Some of the vapes that use variable supplies are in fact 120VAC devices. If they are indeed DC power in the range of the power supply, then yes, it will work. If the unit is indeed 300 watts (30v x 10a) then the 100 or so watts we need may negate the need for a fan. Wouldn't be beyond me to...

The thingiverse jig is about what I modeled. FETs short when they fail. Measure ohms across Negative and the Work Coil pad with the coil in place. Forward biased, I read open, and reverse biased I read approximately 5K.

You're not alone. I measured the cap thickness of the '20 cap and the '18 & '19 caps. it is like 12% thinner. Less heat mass. However, recent findings suggests DV restored the original thickness. All captive caps are therefore suspect to me. I also learned the '20 tip has a lot lower...

If you can rig it, it's a nice setup. Know the LB is 0.07 ohms at it's best. Use copper contacts to both rails; my only strong guidance.

The technical difference is this @LongDraw ; A reduced voltage means a steady state of the coil although the power source uses PWM to modulate the output voltage at a much higher frequency rate than the IH operates at. The IH sees DC voltage. IH's are analog devices and like steady states...
