Some of the vapes that use variable supplies are in fact 120VAC devices. If they are indeed DC power in the range of the power supply, then yes, it will work.
If the unit is indeed 300 watts (30v x 10a) then the 100 or so watts we need may negate the need for a fan. Wouldn't be beyond me to...
The thingiverse jig is about what I modeled.
FETs short when they fail. Measure ohms across Negative and the Work Coil pad with the coil in place. Forward biased, I read open, and reverse biased I read approximately 5K.
Alright guys and gals. Not all of you care about DIY but I have something to share that some of you might appreciate.
After a bit of pestering in the past, I've finally completed my thoughts on inverting the CCD.

The OG DV VC CCD Inverter

I am pleased to present the design elements behind the DVCI, the DynaVap VapCap CCD Inverter. Ever since I received my first DynaVap back in 2019, I dreaded the removal of the CCD. Having no spare and being told 'it's easy' only to finding that it...
Today is a good day. I decided to try the heat-separation method of shortening one of my 1" tubes to 20mm - the limit for Box Troll. Didn't work for me but I might have cheated. I have some cheap Chinese diamond cutoff wheels and decided to use that as the scratch medium. With the tube in...
@stark1 - that's about 10 years at your rate, may 2 at mine.
I haven't got a clue what "50 clicks" really means in true metrics but 1000mah means a lot to me. It tells me it is good for about a gram of well vaped flower. A small targeted coil keeps it efficient while keeping the battery size...
You're not alone. I measured the cap thickness of the '20 cap and the '18 & '19 caps. it is like 12% thinner. Less heat mass. However, recent findings suggests DV restored the original thickness. All captive caps are therefore suspect to me.
I also learned the '20 tip has a lot lower...
Tell me more @YellowFever . A LiPo at 1.5 volts would be cool if it can do about 15 amps. I can get closer to that value but basically that is intriguing. Can you link up a datasheet and resellers?
I just sold mine on the exchange. It has a solid history and I have no reservations about this unit. I gave it a good workout and it always performed as expected when charging and with regard to battery performance. Even the BMS low voltage cutoff was right on 9V. And now it will get another...
The technical difference is this @LongDraw ; A reduced voltage means a steady state of the coil although the power source uses PWM to modulate the output voltage at a much higher frequency rate than the IH operates at. The IH sees DC voltage. IH's are analog devices and like steady states...
Thank you for the questions. First of all, a discussion about 'switches' led to an idea I saw a long time ago and IIRC, it was deemed an excessive heat sink. I took the idea a little further and added compliance. An 'open switch' using the VC as a shunt. Little battery contact from old...
