Not worth discussing here @thunderstealer1337 - it would just get nixed by the mods. Thanks for the confirmation that UL is still on the ball. Keeps my faith in humanity in tact. Maybe we can get George to open up sometime in a TeaTime about what the investment into obtaining that mark cost.

Thanks for the review. 55 clicks is a real feat. Chris from Dynatec told a few people the case is glued. It almost looks like it was sonic welded. The reason you know it is bonded is because it doesn't squirm when you twist it. The 'lid' is on the bottom. There is a circuit board about...

And I might agree with VM if I ever had a chance to experience one. There is no medicine involved @mccringleberry - this is sharing an experience about vapcaps through all the fanboiz.

I have come to a epiphany. I finally get why people prefer the torch to the induction heaters. And it is sad. How long do you torch you cap before drawing? Tune you IH to use the same amount of time! Okay, easier said than done.

I love the way the DynaVerse turns from night to day and back again. Yep, Ti has its place. In my 'universe', it sits next to a '19-SS tip in 3rd place. That's where all this started BTW. My ranking of the Ti tip and finding it is over-rated - in my most humble opinion. I'll hit any tip as...

 I hear you. I have one snag and one advantage in reply. I only trust digital or well regulated supplies for chargers. I've always treated my li-ions with respect for flashlights. For me, 12.6V/8.4V has to be the top of the charger and anything less is loosing runtime. BMS is pretty...

Other can say DV is shit and DV is God, I don't care. @Siebter - you are again reading a whole lot more into my opinion than is warranted. But trying to convince me one way or another cost me $40. So I have a right to an opinion.

    Dynavap VapCap

That is my opinion @Siebter . I have one; I tested it in all fairness against an '18, '19, and '20 tips and I can honestly say that in my opinion that the Ti tip does not outperform my '18 and '19 SS tips mostly on more draw resistance over the '19. My '18 tip is a monster in IH and modified...

What's your take on the Orion @stark1 ?
  12. TommyDee

    Dynavap VapCap

My '19 tip outperforms my 419 Ti tip only in draw resistance. Otherwise I would call the experience identical being a volume med user. I rarely kid unless its obvious. Obviously I'm not kidding.

And some people buy shit to see what the hell other people are talking about. Ti tip is over-rated unless you got an Omni - in which case you don't have a choice.

One risk with a tight, short coil is a higher degree of variability. The coil in Orion is 7-1/4 turns and 14mm ID. Very targeted energy to maximize battery life. Anyone else get a jolt of hot glass from palming the Orion? Now we have to watch the cap and the heater.

Redundancy just makes things clearer so I appreciate it. The 12V 8A brick is the safe bet without any other elements like regulators. The IH module will not pull more current than that. And that is the key, it is not what the power supply will put out but what the device you are powering...

Aha! There is the magic of a proper regulator. The ZVS is an analog device that will take an input from 5V to 12V. The more voltage you give it, the more current the device demands. So if you turn down the voltage, aka DC-DC buck converter, the IH will demand less current. In order to know...

We need a DV Stem Channel! Before fitting the condenser, drill to the 'air port' at 5/16 [or shy] and drill the air port. Drill the remainder with your tube's OD. Then press in the condenser. Now you have OEM performance. Fresh air along the wood path and vape along the condenser.

Fun isn't it @Walrus88 ? How long a piece are you aiming for?

DIY Induction Heater Builds and References

Technically yes. The most power you will get is 60 watts or there-about. You would tune the converter to only pull 60 watts. You would need a way to confirm the power draw, like a current meter.
