When I do inverse hitting, the elbow piece is actually good. With inverse hitting I don't need to have a domed screen in the elbow and it cathes particles that managed to get through the cyclone bowl screen - so clean vapor is going into my waterpipe and no particles to mess it up.

Seems like salt does enough work. Only salt the water and rinse it with cold water after use and it will remain clean and pure tasting.
