I only get the glowing red on the first hit and it's only on for about that time so not sure that's an issue. I find tapping the sensors to be flaky sometimes but that's all I do as I don't use their app.

Yes, it is very dense. The surface is definitely more smooth and less porous than the others although the grain actually looks like more open than say cherry.

Totally a fan of padauk vs other woods at this point. Having used a padauk Junior for a few weeks now it definitely stays cleaner and is easier to clean than my cherry or canary Juniors.

This is what I do as well. As I turn it off in the middle of my last hit and then open the bottom slightly as I'm inhaling that last hit. Cools it down immediately.

Try a factory reset: While the device is turned off, press all three buttons and hold for 10 seconds until device vibrates.

Removed the restrictor disc. Definitely hits quicker but not necessarily bigger. More consistent hits. So far so good.

You never know what the wood is going to look like but I‘m very happy with the canary. I use Colibri.

Here's some pics of my new Juniors from 420 sales, cherry, padauk, and canary. The padauk is a little darker out of the box than I hoped but that wood darkens over time anyway. Right now I'm just using the cherry until I get my technique down.

Yes, the cap is the difference. However, you have to get the chamber out to clean it and underneath it as well. The flavor chamber come out easier if the IQC is warm.

@Cloudybutsunny In addition to @endof3d excellent advice, I find that the pearl needs to be right up against the pod for best results. Having said that, I sometimes back off the pearl in tiny increments to approximate the air dial on the IQ2.

I only take a couple of hits at a time but don’t have to take out the dosage pod. What I do is turn the unit off in the middle of the second hit and pull in air for the rest of the hit and then I’m ready for next time. I open the bottom door just a little which speeds up the process. After that...
