    The Nomad From Morwood

Sorry man, I haven’t shared any yet (except that little corner in an avatar you noticed a while ago). I guess I could, but I thought it would be cooler to let Dan show it when it’s all put together. Seeing the progress shots second might be better? I should be careful not to oversell...

    The Nomad From Morwood

Actually I’m still waiting for my Nomad from Batch 3, but I don’t remember how long I was on the list before that. I asked for some crazy customizations and I asked him to prioritize other people so he could get the less patient ones done and spend the time mine needed to be done right whenever...

    The Nomad From Morwood

The wait has been long for some of us, and I would be prepared for a long wait, but I do think that as Dan finishes off the last of the lingering Nomads and can focus on current batches of Nomad IIs and Toads the wait time should lessen quite a bit. I know he’s worked out better methods of...

    Firewood Vaporizer

I randomly saw the e-mail (Group E) and came here to let you guys know, but it was about a half hour after it came in so I was a bit late! It looks like a nice design overall, but there are a few things I’d have liked to be different… 1. I don’t see why the battery enclosure isn’t flush...

    The Toad from Morwood

@Dan Morrison I’m not too bothered by the heater modules coming out so easily, but I do think that it would be ideal if they stayed in on their own. If making the heater shell magnetic would hold it in when swapping the battery but still let you get it out without too much trouble that sounds...

    The Toad from Morwood

@datayoda I’m guessing you mentioned the button feel because of what I said, and I just wanted to make it more clear to everyone that there were just a few small details that were slightly different from what I expected and they might be exactly what other people expect. We haven’t had any...

    Butane lighter problems with filling.

There are also different tips that came with my butane at least. They’re under the cap and you just snap them off and attach them before use. If you feel like you might not have the right fit for your lighter, that kind of adapter might help. Purging before filling is definitely a good idea...

    The Toad from Morwood

You’ll have to wait another week or two for me to try it, but my girlfriend’s been using our new Toad for the last couple of days and it’s already jumped above the FlowerPot, Firewood 7, VapCaps, etc. to become her favorite! This is our first completely unregulated device, but I dropped in the...

Doesn’t Marc still sell the FW7 cooling stems? If not, you can look for hula stems (just make sure you get the right length). A variety of Dynavap compatible stems can work, but yeah most of them are more expensive and you may or may not think they’re better. I’m good with the glass ones I...

    The Toad from Morwood

The image looks fine to me. The Toad looks great and I still love that Nomad! Mine might be waiting for me when I get home… :mmmm: …sadly I don’t think my mouth has healed enough to use it yet. I see the surgeon this afternoon though, so maybe at least I’ll have a better idea of when I...

Yeah, you can contact him here or by e-mail. I just DMed you the address. :)

Awesome stuff again, Dan! I think my favorites are 43, 46 and 38. I think 46 benefits from the addition of a few trees and stuff for my taste vs the previous similar minimalist landscape. It gives you more of a sense of scale and makes it immediately obvious what you’re looking at. 43 is one...

Draw speed also plays a role in how hot it gets, so you can hold the button down and just draw faster if it starts to get hotter than you want. You can also look at the Nomad thread for performance info since they use the same heater. :)

I think that might be the :shit: euphemism of the day.

Anyone know what the "novel polymer plastic" that S&B uses, actually is??

That’s the base of the heater (which doesn’t get very hot). I don’t know if he still offers wood as an alternative or not, but anyone concerned about PEEK could ask. Since it’s rated for high temps and it doesn’t get very hot in this application though, it shouldn’t be a concern. :)

There was a pic of the 4-7 posted in the thread recently, and I guess that’s a 2 with the 4 above, but I’d like to see all of them together too. I’m sure at least Marc has one of each, but maybe a few other people have all of them?

    The Nomad From Morwood

Yeah, the wait has been long for some of us and I think a couple of people may have cancelled their orders, but otherwise I’ve never seen him fail to deliver in the end. New people on the list should expect a wait for sure, but I know Dan wants to get future batches done faster and it should be...
