until a better solution is found, i think glass tip edge click slapping and crimp constriction on cooldown (particularly if tip pressed down into IH), can both be prevented by adding any sort of clearance piece to the bottom of the cap like your S-clip for example, or ddave's thing, or a bent CCD.

all this intake talk is making me thirsty :)) cheers!

true but the VG has a very direct intake, without any kind of distancing tube and makes up for it with the diffuser disk which basically has the same role as the tube here. in piro's case the intake tube's bends and length ensure optimal temps and air mixture, doesn't need a fresh air carb like...

this is nothing new, i mean ... who do you think was making the orion? it's why DV were so sure about the UFO being an orion clone too despite it looking nothing like it. VF are also the makers of stuff like hula stems and sneaky globe, most of the WPA vape adapters etc, probably BB's as well...

yes it will be around for a while. it's actually been around for a while, look up "addacap", it's the same manufacturer *cough*vapingfans*cough* the B and the glass main stem with oven part are soon to be added to the store as well.

i don't think you want any sort of heat exchanger in the path before the herb with direct intake vapes. this would possibly work if you transform the intake into a heating element a-la elev8R and torch the exterior. for a slow draw limiter i think it's easier and more appropriate for the system...

    Multi-brand Xmax V3Pro vaporizer, convection, on-demand&session.

the v3 pro is pretty much full convection and good for medium grind fluffy herbs, lightly packed, long steady draw. haven't tried it but i think a conduction heater is more appropriate for hash and concentrates. yes, heating stops when you let go of the button in on-demand mode.

the diameter is 8mm, size is 100ish i believe (ideally i would get something more dense for better small particle filtering). the round revolve mesh filters are 8mm as well but a bit more open. you can find cheaper 9mm ones on ebay/amazon and bend/cut them. those actually work really well in...

    Multi-brand Xmax V3Pro vaporizer, convection, on-demand&session.

to be clear: is it normal for the airflow to be as restricted as a dynavap 19m/vong? this is without MP or extra mesh screens.

    Multi-brand Xmax V3Pro vaporizer, convection, on-demand&session.

it's a new clean unit, tried very loose packing, even half oven. vapor production is decent. but the restriction seems to be from the heater, it's there even with the empty bowl and MP off. slightly more restricted than say a VonG, comparable with a 19M. for me it's too restricted for long...

    Multi-brand Xmax V3Pro vaporizer, convection, on-demand&session.

quick question: is it normal for it to be so restricted? it's pretty much dynavap level of airflow restriction. so far my sessions require a lot of work to get decent vapor production going, it's like i'm getting lightheaded from the effort rather than the flower...

    Multi-brand Xmax V3Pro vaporizer, convection, on-demand&session.

day one mods: no noticeable negative impact on the already somewhat restricted airflow. fine mesh should keep things cleaner. purple 3d flow stem fits great in the WPA "silicone" part (is that really silicone? kinda smells like not ...) love the purple looks but the slightly different shade on...

    Vapman

looks to me they are specifically made for vapman, judging by the taper on the fitting end. doubt that taper was accidental.

def not just you. they decreased cap wall thickness in 2020 to decrease resistance for IH's, possibly even alloy composition. seems to me they slightly increased it back in 2021 but not up to pre 2019 levels. new non-captive caps you can buy now perform differently than 2019 and older ones...

    Anvil by Vestratto

@Vestratto picked up the tape turbulator pic from this paper. was thinking manufacturing could be done inhouse. insert flat tape in tube, twist from both ends, cut notches. but i'm sure there are also other options. another thermal break under the oven would presumably improve heat retention in...

@Vestratto this feedback might be obvious and redundant but please consider adding an optional twisted tape airflow cooler eventually (for native use). i vote for the v-cut version nobody else is making currently. thank you!

i don't understand. there's nothing about "continuous" adjustability in that video. only mentions the 2 positions. and i looked very closely yesterday 2020 and 2021 steel tips look exactly the same inside. the 2 distinct screen grooves are clearly visible.
