no, i got why it's raised. yes it's raised because tension from the silicone on one end, so clearly the hinge or cover bends/tilts/flexes. this happens only because the lid is fixed in the center and there's tension on one end. if it were fixed on the ends or the hinge/cover was more solid/lower...

@gabs021 i don't have the ALP yet (can't wait to get my hands on it) but if it's primarily convection i don't see it working that well for hash. being a solid compound (as opposed to fluffy herbs) conduction is just much more appropriate cooking method. might be decent in a flower sandwich.

i mean clearly it's a oversight if the retention mechanism is in the middle of the cover plate and tension on one side causes it to not sit flush. and given the seal is roughly square shaped, the bottom edge will always seal lighter than the one towards the center. apologies if i misunderstood...

that sounds like a pretty noticeable discrepancy in an otherwise tightly designed device. probably caused by the large cover being held in place only in the middle section while there's tension on the bottom. please consider improving this aspect in future versions/devices. i think the easiest...

@Archive i think some chemical and heat would help more than just scraping (gold is soft). i'd try placing some white vinegar soaked cotton or tissue inside the upside down bowl. hmm i might just try this for a vapman without the hassle of removing the pan for soaking.

i think questions are healthy and should be addressed, i highly doubt they are meant to be attacks, but sadly sometimes seem to be misunderstood as such... this drama happens when a product gets a cult following. bit white knighty IMO but on the other hand speaks to the quality of the device.

i don't have one yet but know a thing or two about flow and heating, and mixing in fresh air like a carb via leaky seal in a battery powered convection portable doesn't make any sense to me. the thing with the v3 is restricting/slowing airflow intake before the heater, in order to increase temp...

what? no way that's by design. it's counterproductive especially for a convection heater. sounds like a fault to me. could it be the silicone parts or the disk are not seated properly?

gotta use a natural bristle brush. it's so cringe to see vape manufacturers add plastic brushes for hot ovens. very few companies do it right like vapman s&b ...

the peek and silicone vapor path segments are the main concern for me with this device. i'm thinking the areas around and on top of the bowl should become sticky from 1st use. are you saying there's actually very little to no sticky buildup around the bowl?

to everyone mentioning silicone taste, i'm thinking since the angus is fresh off the production line, it's possible to take a while for the silicone to fully cure and dissipate any smells/flavors. had the same with the v3p, don't remember how long it took (possibly a week?) but now it's...

hate to break it to you but capsules won't save any vape from gunk/reclaim/sticky buildup, but it will make reloading easier. this is why it's so important to make the entire airpath ideally, but at least the vape path, from easy to clean inert materials. and have well thought out access to the...

IME a mesh screen should be less prone to buildup compared to punched sheet.

i think 30% is an amazing deal to have year round, a few days of BF sales are very nice for those of us with more patience than disposable income. however i totally agree on wanting to know what's in the airpath. the claims on the website, "removable glass airpath" omitting plastic and silicone...

just want to point out the round MP could be an OPTION. and it would fix a lot of convenience issues as @felvapes pointed out previously. so please round MP as an accessory. this would not remove your existing flat MP @TeaCup so no need to oppose this idea thank you. edit: what's the size of...

i think if capsules are a downgrade it probably means the heater isn't strong enough to compensate for the added mass and obstruction. or they are not that well designed (plenty of examples here). considering the ALP can combust it should perform well, perhaps worst case it can be run in...
