I just used regular metal pliers. Tightening it all the way makes a BIG difference in performance. I don't really care about scratches on the bottom part of my liger where I don't ever look. Should be doable. My friend has a custom built box with Auber hardware inside from like 2011 and he runs the AH coil just fine. Do it at your own risk though. I had no idea if the AH coil was gonna work with my D-nail either, but seems to be running just fine, even 24/7 some days.

When you get your coil, just be sure to tighten the locking nut SUPER tight, to the MAXIMUM that the threading allows, so that it has the best possible contact with the liger. The closer the coil temp is to the actual surface temp, the better the flavor and the more you can feel every degree...

have you tried the AH coil on the 30mm yet? The vapor volume produced is much bigger with even more flavor.

that LED is something I'd be able to turn off right? it's cool and all, but when I have the enail on at night, I'd probably find it distracting

so you only have one? perhaps you can grab a back-up spare just in case? you'd also be able to compare and provide feedback on the overall consistency from the newer batch that he made without having your liger... if some come out good and some batches come out "unfortunate" that right there...

how many weirdeer caps do you have though? is it just 1? perhaps you won the lottery on that one? i hope you didnt miss the part where I said my terp trunks are MODIFIED... Because a regular terp trunk with a spout that points sideways at the liger wall instead of the insert really...

I got an IR thermometer gun to measure the surface temp of my insert.... I think it's PERFECT :D I also learned that with an AH coil, there is about a 55 - 60F degree difference between the actual insert temperature and what the controller displays.

I find that with the custom AH coil, the walls of the insert get heated better, so that the oil vaporizes a lot more on contact with them, GREATLY reducing the chance of a spillover.
