The integrated stem I ordered arrived yesterday, so now I have all iterations: xl mouthpiece, xl bowl, integrated stem. I also went radical and removed the screen from the condenser, figuring the 2 flytraps would keep out most of the debris. And they do. Also, European Anvil users, I want to...

Now that I have the xl bowl and the xl mouthpiece, the anvil is even more perfect for me. I don't grind, but break off nugs to stuff into the xl bowl. It dawned on me that I wouldn't have to use the screen on the condenser, because the 2 traps, in the stem and in the mouthpiece, would keep out...

It's all about: how do you heat the copper heat sink. To my mind: not indirectly with IH. Either the oven design needs to change, to pair it with an IH or a heater element directly heats the Anvil heatsink. I can imagine an IH and accompanying dedicated oven. The other option would be a flexible...

You can use the regular bowl. I think i get better extraction if I use a half bowl amount of flower in the regular bowl. That's why I ordered the xl bowl too: for micro dosing :) I'd love to have a flame free option, but I don't think IH heating is the way to go. I can imagine a kind of rest...

Been thinking about it, after I started using the ispire wand on the anvil. For an IH to have as good results as a butane lighter, I guess you would have to change the design of the office, because the copper heat sink is heated indirectly. Why not develop an IR heater, analogous to those dental...

I think the standout genius thing about the Anvil's design was the decision to choose a screw-in bowl. This, even more than the copper and the heat sink, sets the anvil apart from Dynavap imo.

I use them as dosing caps. Actually, I've been thinking about a kind of carrier thingy to take them with me more easily. Swapping bowls is very easy if you have a couple lined up. I have no reason now, to pay €25 shipping for a €30 item. But if an XL case comes out, I'll try to combine them. I...

I went the other route: i don't grind. I tear of a nug of about 0.1g and push that into the full bowl. I'll compact it a bit with my fingers to fit it. Remember, it's convection heavy, so you want the hot air circulating. I go for efficient extraction, not maximum cloudage

    Anvil vs Vapcap Discussion

Well, I've got 2 M's and a Vong and then I bought the anvil and now they're gathering dust. I needed to work very hard to get substantial hits with dynavap and with the anvil all that's child play once you've fully taken on board how it achieves its effect. For me the lovely thing is that I can...

Try pre-heating the oven separately for 1 full cycle of the Ispire and then screw in the bowl and heat until 2nd click. Often you can have one straight go in the ispire after the cooling click, if you find your ABV too light. Sometimes I even pre-heat for 1.5 cycle.

I do this when I use the Ispire Wand. I give the oven 2 cycles of heat soak in the IH and then screw in the chamber and heat until 2nd click. Drains the Wand's battery though.

I tried the Ispire Wand on the Anvil with meh results The oven does heat up, but the battery is now heated by the magnetic steel in the oven's inside and outside casing and not directly by a flame. This robs the Anvil of its ability to clear the bowl in one go. You do get good extraction, but...

Time your heat up. 30 seconds should be about right. I use a quad torch and vary the distance to the Anvil to get different heating times

I've got the Gefu Fuego. Bought it in a kitchen supplies shop. There are cheaper ones, but this one is supposed to be good quality https://www.gefu.com/en/product-world/table-serve-kitchen/619/kitchen-torch-fuego

I've had the Anvil from Monday now, and I love it. I use it for micro-dosing, that I use to reduce muscle spasms and pain (MS). So I'm looking for consistency and efficient medication. The Anvil is great for that (as was John's intention). I did have to get over my "torch hesitation" and I still...
