I have a hemson, and I do like it. I don't grind, but crumble the flower, and pack the bowl 2/3 full. I don't tamp it down tightly. Preheat at 5 diamonds, and vape at 1. Do stir the bowl. The seal is fine, also without the gasket. The hemson has a pretty capacious bowl.

There's art involved here and "perfect is the enemy of good" so your variant 2 will suit me nicely. Looking forward to using it! I'll expand this posting tomorrow to show how it works throughout the day and after hours. I've taken some photos today, but I was too rushed, lots of back to back...

The difference is, I think, that you control the temperature largely with your breath. And there's more contact with the flower too. With the VapCap it's: respect the click: there's far less process involved. I'm not a smoker myself, but using the Neo and a pipe reminds me of Gong Fu Cha style...
