There are separate learning curves for every combo, but.... Finally getting Halo tip to work well with armored cap. A lighter tip seems to balance the heavier cap, which in turn gives a longer, slower heat curve to the tip. Less likely to combust. Heavy SS tip and armored cap is too much oven. Light cap, light tip too sharp of a heating curve, especially with triple torch.

The foam inside the tin of my G3 is dead.
It lasted two weeks. I've put the device back in when it was barely warm (decapped with bare fingers so not hot) and the foam retracted to a point where it can't do its job anymore.
Time to do a better stash

I only vape outside (private back porch). I’m happy with my Lobo as a session vape, but I want something faster, a one-hitter, for uncomfortably cold days. So I plan to get a Dynavap (leaning toward M7 XL) and a Wand. A couple of questions:

1. I have a low tolerance. I’ll use only a half bowl at a time. How well does the half bowl setting on the M7 tip work? Is the half bowl setting fussy? Does it require frequent adjustments? Would it be easier over the long run just to get a B tip and use it in the M7 XL?

2. I’d use the M7 XL through a dry bong about half the time. My current plan is to use a glass 10 MM to 14 MM adapter. I know this is one solution recommended by Dynavap, but do you see it as a high-quality solution or would you recommend something else (e.g. bonger)?

3. I use dosing caps with my Lobo. I assume the dosing caps for Dynavap work only with M tips in the full bowl position, and will work o.k. if the dosing cap is filled only halfway. What do people think of the Dynavap dosing caps? Do the dosing caps keep the Dynavap significantly cleaner and extend the amount of time between cleanings? Are they worth messing with?

4. Any other vape-related suggestions for this low tolerance guy who doesn’t want to freeze his ass off this winter?

I would recommend an Armored Cap or Simrell FMJ as well if you definitely want to use a Dynavap for this purpose.

Personally I keep all my adjustable tips in the full bowl position because they work perfectly well partially filled that way also. It would be easier to pack consistent doses with it set to half or with a B tip though.

Both options work well. I prefer the 10 to 14 adapter because that way I still have an airport to fiddle with. I use the Bonger almost exclusively with the BallR cap because I don't get the vapor or roast/extraction I want with normal conduction caps when the airport is fully closed. Even when bonging with normal caps I like to have some air coming in through the airport.

I have some I got from VGoodiEZ and I don't think I've ever used them lol. Totally unnecessary for Dynavaps if the only goal is to keep them cleaner IMO. Dynavaps are one of the lowest maintenance vapes for me.

I haven't set my M7 to half, tbh, but it's worked well with any of the M bowls that have had it, for me. It can be a pain to set, but just use another DV tip if you have one. Place the bowl upside-down, lay the screen on the end of it's neck, and press the M7 bowl down onto it. The screen should snap right into place.

Not that I've ever experienced.

It would be easier, sure, but the M7's a much better bowl, I feel.

The bonger wouldn't really add much since it too has a condenser, which keeps the draw more restricted. I would just go with the M7XL in the adapter, or maybe buy a glass or wood water pipe adapter of some sort for a little less restriction. The condenser's not a big issue, my Vongs have them still and it's all good.

I would not mess with them myself. Part of the charm is that DVs're quick and simple. Even the cleaning can be like that, but there are posts that describe tips for very thorough cleaning.

This is the perfect job for an induction heater. I'm normally a torch guy but if you have to go outside and it's gonna be cold and windy, a Wand or similar will be the killer upgrade.
