The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

On my first Gen Tempest I always use a glass WPA rather than the stem when I use it on a water piece. With stem cleaning appearing to be so much easier, on the new Tempest (when I get one) I may skip that WPA entirely. That may lead to my not feeling the need to buy a second head.
I was the same. I use the stem on the V2 as a WPA. There is no trade off in airflow, and I like the extra cooling for use with small pieces.

I've even started using the stem as a general use WPA for other vape heads. I love the new stem.

Well, after one week with the Tempest V2 and with only 2 days of testing it I can say that this thing really slaps.
With V1 since release, having tested all the balls without losing any off them, it only took V2 3 smallest bowls to blast my motor coordination trying to change balls.

First advice with V2: Change the balls when you have not used it for a while if u don't want to end up with the studio floor full of SiC balls, SS balls and some rubies too

Hey I just got my Tempest 2 from the US! Is there a “quick start guide” or post somewhere that I can access or would someone direct me on what to do to get started?

Actually it seems like there’s one online 😬 oops

Is there a reference for the different airflow modes on the tempest 2? (MTL, DTL, Open/Bypass etc)
The tempest 2 has a completely different stem. It is not the revolve. You can regulate the carbhole, the tip intake air, and the amount of cooling depending in what spiral you use.

Hello everyone little advice for those who are a little clumsy or who are a little frustrated to have had the tempest with some micro scratches. Polished I did it on mine and it is in better condition than when I unpacked it. I hope it can help one it doesn't bother me because I know it's titanium and that it's made to be scratched but I like to have all my vape in perfect condition 😁

Hello I don't know if you will find any at home because I am Belgian and at the base this product was for my anvil because I could not find the product bar keepers friend. My product that I use and the mirror is a French product I put you a photo of the product in question. It worked miracles on my anvil so I'm trying now on all my vape and it gives a more than new results

Wubba Lubba dub-dub
3000 grit sandpaper + Autosol polishing paste (optional)

I cannot find 3000 grit, max 1000 granulation if I am reading this correctly...

Would this be it for the paste?

EDIT: ah I see it has to be golden, I'll keep on looking :)

I just got mine in the mail and man, these things are so nicely made. The design and machining of this device is both functional and beautiful. I do like the way the longer radiator looks on the T1, having so many fins just looks neat, but I think that overall I like the look of this one better. That was a pleasant surprise because initially I thought the T1 was better looking but that was before I actually saw the T2 in real life. Man I just really love good machining and that's for sure what you get with Mad Heaters. I love good machining so much that I spent like $100 on a case to hold my vitamins and I only did it because they're so satisfying to hold in my hands and use. The people who made these, both design and execution, really know what they're doing and it shows. I can't stop looking at and just admiring it. It's almost a work of art and I don't even want to desecrate it by loading it up and hitting it with a torch lol.

I also did notice like others that the cap slips sometimes when trying to use the magnet on the reload I ordered with my T2. It was too tight out of the box to unscrew it and my screw is counter sunk properly. The thing I've found that works is to make sure that you tighten it with the magnet as well. As long as you're not grabbing it and tightening it by hand or with a different tool, you shouldn't be able to over tighten it to the point where the magnet won't grab hard enough

The tempest one sleeve has been working well for me.

For now I'm just going to use the tube it came in but I'm thinking about boring out one of the dymavap cases I have with my drill press. I'm pretty sure that the side walls will be too thin and I'll end up breaking in my pocket though. I haven't checked yet but I'm pretty sure that's the case. Do you think there would be any interest in something like the dynavap slim stash but for these? I used to work at a sawmill in West Michigan, was there for 15 years, and I have some crazy nice lumber. I was literally allowed to take whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted because my bosses liked me so I snagged a ton of exotic hardwood and it wouldn't be that hard to make cases for these things that look kind of like a dugout/one hitter box, only bigger

I've got a labet komp waiting for mine to arrive, the T1 case fits too. Also check out leather pen cases, i have one that fits that was a freebie.

I'd be interested with a caveat. The slim stash has never made sense to me as a design since its based on a design that stores both herb and the device but wastes all the herb storage space. its twice as wide as it needs to be and that extra space is only used to hold a screw. For me the slim stash design is not worth the space it takes up over a tube. but if you could use the space for herb storage or something then its a total design win! Maybe put a lid on the top and bottom that swivel open to reveal either the herb compartment or the device compartment? or maybe a lid that slides 1/2 or completely off in either direction so you can get to both the herb and the device? Basically I think its a great idea if you can actually use all the volume the case takes up.

And why in the name of the vapor gods is there no magnet?

I totally agree and would improve on that. If you Google "thc2hitter" or look for them on Twitter, then find their double sided hitter box with the big, stainless steel bat then you'll see the design that I would likely copy, just bigger and made out of wood. Since the herb chamber can't be as deep as the device itself, it leaves wasted space on the bottom side. That company sold a hitter box that had a second lid on the bottom with another herb chamber, albeit smaller than the main chamber. That second chamber could be used to carry a second strain or carry some small bits of gear. I have a hitter box from that company and I've been carrying it in my pocket for like 15 years or more lol. I was always surprised when they went out of business because they objectively made the best dugout on the planet. They made several options like a shorty, one with a lock on it, and one with a glass bat but the OG double sided box is just so, so good. I've been a one hitter guy for like 25 years and the double sided box from Tactical Hit Company blows all the competition out of the water. Idk if it was an advertising thing or what but they just never took off
