I use dosing caps in my phtm almost exclusively since my TM use case is for max stealth out and about. I use the TM titanium caps. My understanding is that the s&b caps are generally considered to be a better experience because they don't reduce the airflow as much as the OEM caps. One difference is that the TM caps fit inside the stem where the s&b caps don't so they sit under the stem. @ScruffyWoofers makes a metal stem that will take the s&b caps, at least up until the cap so only a little sticks out past the stem if that matters to you. Another thing to consider is that the s&b caps are aluminum. Vgoodiez makes ti and ss versions. The dimensions of these are a little different than stock. I will have to modify my scruffy stem a little to get them to work.

I would never use capsules in my TM and I would especially never ever use those S&B capsules, and especially not in TM the way they fit, personally. That would only make it work worse, not how it is meant to be used

As I always say, I almost always temp step, from almost the lowest possible and turn up tiny bit by tiny bit between the dashes for each hit, ending before level 6 typically (with GVB u-turn stem or simple WPA with good hook etc. and none with glass screens btw)

i just replaced my TM2 after the pigs took it when i got arrested for speeding (excessively.. "reckless") omw to the Big Ears Fest a cpl weeks ago, a brutal loss, they took the TM2, my Anvil, Crossing Core, BCG and various accessories for it all, along w some flower and trates... easily $1000+ in just gear ffs, and that's not including any of the other costs associated w the arrest. Now I'm not sure what to do, but I've been back poking around after being outta the mkt for a cpl years.. I knew I wanted to replace the TM2 and I think I want the Anvil, lol prob the Core too, i need sth for oil and i liked the Anvil a lot.. i ordered an Aroma 3 to replace the BCG.. i guess i'll wait on most of it, tho.. i'm gonna hire a lawyer and try to get off on the THCA loophole, maybe i can, and get my shit back.. i'm not banking on it, but doesn't look like anything else on my list is on a big sale rn..

Initial impressions, after a roughly 3hr dial-in...
- Quality construction (color me impressed.)
- Damn, thisthing device gets warm (or 'hot', tbh) in session mode. 
(I have no issues with vapor temp, even natively)
- Found the work around for the heat -- use a WPA and run through water. Quick extraction before things really heat up.
- First device I've had that can use dosing caps. Hate loading / unloading (size), but boy, does it help keep things cleaner / contained.
Quick Verdict:
Will keep it, as it does deliver for me using WP. However, that means that it's not going to be my 'take along portable'. That is now going to be either my BFG Dani 2 with wand or my 'Frank-an-vil' (Anvil) with wand.
Will be daily driving this for a bit and further optimizing my process.

Got a PH TM2 during the recent sale and I'm loving it with the rocket xl stem from vgoodiez. Waiting for the t bowl to come back in stock to throw it on a j hook I have!
I've noticed that using a basket screen helps with an even roast. Does anyone know of any 'deeper' basket screens than the ones on vgoodiez? Ideally would love to be able to take advantage of the extra depth on the stem with a larger basket screen pack.

To (partially) answer your question... I've not seen any deeper ones, tbh. But after using the dosing caps, I'm now potentially looking for taller dosing caps
(edit): What I was inferring, but will now state explicitly... was that I think the dosing caps work even better than the baskets, w/ regard to extraction.

I have an original TinyMight 1 that was repaired once because the glass case broke. I think it was upgraded to the 1.5 motherboard. The button has been depressed for a while and has no travel, but if I press it, it works, almost as if it were a capacitive button.
I really like it, and it works great. I'm wondering if it would be worth sending it in for repair. I've heard it's an unfixable error and that it will probably happen again with a new button. The button has been like this for several months now, and it seems to work even if I have to apply some force.
What do you think?

I'd recommend using it in on demand mode instead...
I would also recommend alternative stems or set up of course, should not need water, and could still be very mobile...
I hate everything about the capsules, and I think it doesn't make any sense when you're dealing with a glass stem vape, the glass stem is already your chamber and pathway and totally removable cleanable... Capsules is just another thing to worry about, really just makes no practical sense to me, everything about it is worse lol but I'm a broken record
The deeper the basket, the less even the roast will probably be... Someone here early on did a test about how much you could really load in the TM, you could have a huge bowl, but the extraction would suffer... Needing to stir etc. there's an ideal distance and size to get great extraction depending on other variables of course
Yeah I just totally disagree, I think they require you to use higher heat settings, and are just more involved, not the move if you want the best vapor quality pure convection on demand in my experience at least

I mean I do high temp one hitters through water with TP80, and I can do that with TM too, I just much prefer low and slow dry with TM for the enhanced vapor quality experience and for me superior even extraction (Tetra similar setup sometimes too, but I prefer using each one differently) when you take many hits on the lower end, there is actually not much left at all to extract on the higher end regardless

I also did not understand the purpose of using capsules in the TM2. I figured people are using some other type of setup other than a glass stem, or needing the ability to pop a bunch of pre-loaded capsules in while on the go? I don't travel with mine, so it's so much easier to just load as you go at home. I also prefer an average sized pack because I'd rather taste 2 smaller fresh loads than try and get twice as much from a larger, yet roasty tasting load. But to each their own.
When using a plain basket screen, that's the only thing that really gets cruded up, but not till after several sessions, and it's pretty quick to clean. You just load the screen, vape and puff it out. I never liked capsules in other devices because it feels like an extra degree of separation between the heat and the herb.
@teddyruxx, sorry for your loss. Fucking assholes for taking your shit. I would repurchase a TM2 as it gives you the best bang for your buck on herb. I will also give a brief plug for the Core 2. For concentrates, I find there's nothing better for ease of use, portability and flavor. Highly recommend both. If I could only own 2 vapes, those would be it.

It might not be so black and white. While I'm a dosing cap user, I hold Snax's opinion in high regard and did some experiments without them a month or so ago. I found i could get a much nicer tastier hit at 4 where i run the caps at 7. When i first got the TM2 I was more obsessed with even avb than i am now. it is super easy to get even avb in the dosing caps but requires managing more variables without them. Today if i need to leave the house and am pretty sure that i won't need to reload i will just pack a stem loose for the better experience. But for reloading on multi hour drives imo nothing beats the caps and a good round cap magazine. i have considered using the MH reload with the tm2 stems to try to bridge the gap but thats a huge thing to carry compared to a tiny tube with 3 caps in it.TIL... one can combust with a TM2

So start with the caps if it meets your use case best! but once you have your system down and are more familiar with the TM variables its definitely worth it to try without.

Hi guys, does anyone had this sensibility problem on tm1 or has an idea on how to solve it? Sometimes it also remain turned on (and discharge all the battery). Maybe removing the tape it could help, I don't know. But I m sure that I used it for many months with this small piece of tape without any issue.
