Mine should arrive this week. What have been your magic numbers on V2?
For OHE I am at 5300J @ 100% power, with 62% RH flower.

I have found the total extraction range to be 3900 - 5300 for the tornado. My wagon wheel is set to 3 threads showing from bottom. I was able to achieve some crazy flavours on the low end that I was not able to achieve with V1.

I’d love to get better flavor out of my tornado, it sounds like heating method has a lot to do with flavor. While the wand is super functional, I may have open the wallet back up and find something with more power.

Inductor is a great choice. It’s super powerful and if you’re looking for an experience similar to torching, it’s a no brainer. The Forge, of course, is also amazing. However, it’s a more straightforward experience where you just setup the settings and let it do the rest, while the Inductor is more “dynamic” I’d say.

where can a man but the forge?...that video alone sells me....I prefer the hands free option versus the inductor....thats just me.

Hi friends! What is the word with the Tornado and induction heaters? Which ones work best? I have a wand, an old fluxer deluxe, and would consider adding a forge or inductor to the mix as long as it worked with my tempest too

Can some kind soul who has tried both a Wand and something more powerful (Inductor, Forge... etc) explain to me just how much better the experience is? I personally am really satisfied with heating the Tornado with the Wand. 20sec to click doesn't make me feel like the Wand is underpowered. 🤷‍♂️ Plus you can count flashes for repeatable low temp hits if you like. I feel like I'm missing something?

I'm more interested in any different signature effects a more powerful IH has. I'm not really interested in any time savings to heat quicker if the signature stays the same. I get really thick, fluffy vapor that people are describing so I'm a bit lost as to why I need a much more powerful and expensive IH to enjoy the Tornado.

Got V2 couple days ago. I'm at 5500J and 85%. I have my stopper higher than yours, such that its recessed into the wagon wheel threaded sleeve (did same with V1). At Forge time out and Tornado removal I almost immediately get the first disc click followed quickly by second click. AVB is perfect for me. Also 62% flower.

Thrilled to have the Forge back in play.

I have finally got things working great with the wand as well.

I use it upside down with a little silicone cap guarding the bottom hole. Tornado is inserted pretty much submerged up to the air intake holes. Wand is set to 420f but I never make it to the end - I pull 1-2 seconds after first click on cold start (immediately on reheat or I combust). I don’t do any special slow pull, I just rip the rooster.

The click adjusted over about a week of use, but seems settled and I ended up replacing the wpa with a nice 14mm wood, so things are now cozy and happy. I really do love this thing!

I definitely wouldn’t change the heat time with the experience if I were looking for an upgrade, I’d fix the heat lock on the threads that can easily happen if you carelessly reload. This minor thing and the (imo for the price) cheesy wpa keep the tornado from being actually undeniably perfect.

Even though the wand is my preferred method to use the tornado, I do get better hits with the torch. The quicker and beefier heat up of the forge may help get that experience closer to the torch for me. That's the logic I'm using to gauge whether I'll pick one up or not in a few months.

I've got a wand and an inductor. The wand is the old model, with the little toggle switch.

I use the Inductor at home and the Wand when I travel. My process for each is very different: Inductor especially allows for a lot of finessing. The Wand less so. I often preheat, but when I'm in a hotel that's a faff, so I let the timer run out at 325C and then I have excellent extraction in one go with darkish ABV. Of course, the second bowl is better, because by then the Tornado has warmed up.

But what I absolutely adore about the Inductor is the amount of energy you can add in a very short time, like 2 seconds. What i don't like about the Wand is that the flower is in the oven for quite a long time, 20 seconds if I pre-heat. With the Inductor I can give it a 1 second blast from cold at the highest voltage, wait a bit for the heat to distribute, maybe give another quick blast, and I have click. I can manipulate where I heat the Tornado with the Inductor, something that is semi-possible with the Wand. Short cooking times give hits that can be very terpy if you use the inductor so you hover around the click threshold.

I also still think the Wand is under-powered for the Tornado.
