Oooo can't wait to test. I have an small honest, tripple, ronxs and kitchen torch to test out.Yes, works very well.

I’ve got that torch too , what’s your technique please ?Ronxs with a beefy single flame works great for me. I’ve seen people use it with double/triple flame but yet to try it. I think a big kitchen torch would be overkill, wondering if anyone here has tried that.
She finally came and I did a few bowls. Only with torches.
Did a couple with the small honest and it was ok. More of a session experience. Light and tastey hits with about 3 or 4 reheats.
Then I switched to the kitchen torch but it (the torch) was cold and the flame wasn't massive. I found these hits were better and I was pushing it more. Heated until just when the flame started to turn orange. I think I want to take it a bit further but I'm scared of tumbling over the line while trying to ride it.
I'm thinking the ronxs maybe best because it's a bit more precise then the big torch but more powerful then the little honest. Double flame maybe good.
More testing for science!
Also... i wish the cap had a scraper like the dyna ones.
I use the digger outer frequently on a Dynavap but never thought, hey the XL cap could use one of these. Although I have a debowling ashtray at hand, the wide bowl of the XL makes it easier to cleanly debowl than a Dyna. If it's been efficiently vaped, I can cleanly empty the XL by tapping it, occasional tiny pieces are easy to blow out or brush out with a finger or a key. No so with the Dyna, which really benefits from the digger outer.(snip)

Don't be too timid. I find getting to that stage with a small single (Vapman torch) turned up medium high is really reliable for fast extractions, on the regular titanium version at least.Heated until just when the flame started to turn orange.
This is great advice. Using the little torch I went a lot harder and the results were splendid.Don't be too timid
Awesome, thanks. I believe that means a DV or CC condenser will work with it. I think the SS is a better option for the cap, tbh. They cool fast, this gives a little more retention if you're outside, plus the bowl won't pick up much heat to help with the roasting. In case anyone here is not on Reddit, here's some new info I gleaned there: ceramo stem is straight-bore 8mm internal diameter, and the cap is stainless steel, not titanium (this was unclear on the website)
I just did this along with your video using about the same size flame, maybe a little smaller. It was about 16 seconds.I’m liking a single medium flame for the XL as well. Doesn’t take too much longer than the inductor, and for me, better control of the outcome. Maybe a bit too long here ..it’s definitely a puncher![]()
I’ve over and under cooked quite a bit. Combusted bad a couple times tooI just did this along with your video using about the same size flame, maybe a little smaller. It was about 16 seconds.
Combusted.
Back to a smaller flame for about 10 seconds. After cleaning the glass & CXL...
I combusted a few times when I first got it, but that was it until this attempt. I was surprised how long you went with this large of a flame but tried it anyway!I’ve over and under cooked quite a bit. Combusted bad a couple times tooLil tricky at times.
CXL roasts considerably more evenly, or at least it's much easier to get an even roast without stirring. The OG can be stir-free too but it takes skill to find and keep with the sweet spot in terms of heating and hitting. Love the OG and I use it a lot, but I think the excitement around the CXLs is deserved. In terms of microdosing you'd need to cover the screen and keep the herbs intact and in place for them to roast well. Upright on a j-hook/water pipe can help there. Can't decide between the Tornado or the Ceramo, going to wait until 420 sales and can only get one or the other
Honestly very satisfied with my SS OG convector so will probably go with Tornado
I purposely try to buy units that will help keep my tolerance low under a gram a day, can anyone speak on microdosing (dyna size load) with the CXL? I love my OG but you really do need to dump and stir it halfway through and that gets annoying, the CXL wider bowl doesn't need stirring correct?
No. The Ceramo comes with the same cap as the current Ti CXL.Is the super capacitator the cap we get in the caramo package?
That's what I assumed as well but apparently it comes with a SS cap - however, it's NOT the Super Capacitor cap. See below.No. The Ceramo comes with the same cap as the current Ti CXL.

Interesting. Would that change the performance of the cap drastically? That's what I assumed as well but apparently it comes with a SS cap - however, it's NOT the Super Capacitor cap. See below.
It should be the same one or they will have three caps? That's what I assumed as well but apparently it comes with a SS cap - however, it's NOT the Super Capacitor cap. See below.
This reasoning seems sound. I checked the site again and the standard titanium CXL lists "1 XL titanium Camo Cap" in the parts list while the CeramoXL lists "1 XL Camo Cap" in its parts list, implying that it is indeed stainless steel. It's confusing looking at their site, but this is the reddit post they're talking about, which seems to pretty plainly state that the Ceramo cap will be all stainless steel. The materials list on the Ceramo page also lists only Ceramic and Stainless Steel. If I understand correctly, the heater plates themselves are stainless steel even in the titanium models, but it does seem to make a little bit of difference at least with the OGs. I wouldn't call it drastic. I haven't tried an XL.
I believe there are 3 XL caps. TitaniumXL, SS XL and the Super Capacitor cap.It should be the same one or they will have three caps?
