Bro, get a battery charger and some spares!

I have a nitecore and spares. But (maybe an unpopular opinion) i use the ports of my vapes. The Yllih, angus enhaced or 2con ports are excellent (they charges fast and I checked the charged batteries on the nitecore). I dont plug the vapes when they are hot, also i use to move throught a couple of locations a lot, and hold the nitecore with me is a dead weight. Now I just use the nitecore for the wand, to have a pair of charged batteries

Edit: sorry. This can be a little offtopic

I do agree it could be better with power. Some of my batteries go really quick and as others mentioned when it’s down to 2-1bar the performance lacks. But still works great and consistent fresh batteries.

Anyway I got a revolve glass stem so I could try out the tempest cooling in my firewood 7(works great!), but have been really enjoying it on the tempest, it gets hotter than my wood stem after some back to back bowls but I like the looks and seeing the resin build around the spiral haha.

Some full bowl action

Clocked earlier that the MH site now has an entry for the Tempest on the menu 😁. Ever closer we get 😁.

Also clocked that there are three ball types listed

Zirc, SiC and Boro.

Did anyone who tested all three reach any conclusions as to which ball type they preferred?

Vaporents is sadly full of negativity and entitlement to a pathetic degree. But it is funny to see the people who hate on devices just because they don't own them lol
Jealousy is a strong feeling.

I’m still waiting to pounce on final release. Got my Forge dialed in. I hope they pair well.

All 2.5mm

Boro for fast extraction and fast heat up time. It just kills a bowl with 2/3 hits. Also good for killing hash cause the temps it can reach.

Zirc are the middle point between retention, flavor, and power. I find the zirc better to make low temp session since it has a good heat retention and a medium heat up time.

SiC if you want more hits per heat up. It needs more time to reach the desired temp. I think this is a good option for mid temp heat ups with full bowl.

Maybe the zirc gives a better flavor. Boro harder hits. And SiC more hits.

At least that is my personal conclusion.

I use SiC, full bowl and it is great.. makes me wish the bowl was bigger as I run out of herb quite a bit before I run out of heat.

Exited that the launch seems imminent!! :leaf:

Will it be possible to just buy https://madheaters.co.uk/products/tempest-cap for the glass users at launch?
Also do they come fully assembled with zic balls and screens, o-rings or do i have to buy that all separately? @Brenyo

I see you are having replacement sleeves if you want to renew the dirty sleeves later i love that!

Any tips on where to buy the different types of balls from? I'd love to start sourcing items so I can have them for whenever the tempest gets released!

Not sure if this is the right place but I was going to get a reload with my tempest order to save 20% and get free shipping but I've seen that their expected release dates are a few weeks apart. Is the reload something that sells out very quickly? It often seems to be out of stock.

I use the wand almost all the time, easy and dependable, really thought I would prefer the torch ritual but once you get the wand dialled in with the correct height it's brilliant. Does hammer the batteries but an extra set solves that.
Yeah reading the other comments, it seems most people's complaints are it losing some power when battery is approaching 1 block.

This is an understandable complaint to be honest. Maybe I avoid this instinctively, as I always time my wand heating manually, and do micro adjustments from bowl to bowl. So when it's running low I guess I'm compensating.

Would be nice to have a mains powered wand like induction heater. As I use the Tempest indoors constantly.

Somebody in here tried them, but I don't remember who. I think they responded more slowly than the other choices.

On the topic of balls, out of the two I’ve used, 2.5mm zirc and 3mm SiC, I much prefer the sic and it’s a combination of the material and size. The difference in airflow is noticeable and welcome change from the 2.5mm zirc to Sic.

Taste I’m not super sensitive to so don’t notice much of a difference but the sic holds the heat better to my preference. If anything, was a bit too well for the half bowl setting and if I pushed it a tiny bit too far could combust. Since going back to full bowl, sic has been perfect for long sessions with how it holds the heat and enough material in the load to feel like I’m puffing on a joint/blunt or cherried bowl rather than a vape that I need to worry about reheating.

Had been neglecting the tempest slightly as I was giving more attention to the newer vapes I’ve acquired, but past couple weeks back to it, and it really feels like the only vape in my collection I would be absolutely comfortable and satisfied with if I lost all the others. Performs excellent at home or on the go, can work with torch, or batteries and IH. Can puff on it like a joint, full on mouth to lung experience doing tricks again or taking huge bong hits to melt the face off. All the while having excellent taste and exceptional cooling on its own.

The longer I have it and more vapes I compare it too, the tempest is really feeling like it will stand the test of time.

And mine is a pre-release. I know everyone has been awaiting the fully polished and calibrated version but if something were to happen and it never came to be, and I never got the updated indicators, I wouldn’t need them. I often forget that I still will be getting updated parts/indicators/accessories for a vape that feels more complete than any other I own.

Truly an incredible way to enjoy my favorite plant and bring that familiar ritual and feeling of smoking that I loved back in the day, but with even greater flavor and effects. Damn I love weed and the wonderful ways we have come to experience it.
