I have acquired an apprehension about the normal use of the carb hole; and this is that such use means that the air inhaled comes in part from contact with my finger; A finger that I always try to keep as clean as possible, but which I see as a foreign element into the air flow. I simply don't like the idea anymore.
Technically when you completely plug the hole the airflow takes the shorter path through the tip and doesn't come in contact with your finger. That would be the case if you partially plugged the hole with your finger. I also find it usefull as mentionned before because the heating after the click is a bit uncertain. Sometimes you heat it a bit too much making vapor a bit too thick or roasty. Unplugging the hole in these cases allows to take the hit without coughing.

Edit. No you're right, this would be the case with the vapcap condenser. But I think this is mostly psychological as this wouldn't affect significantly the tate of composition of the vapor.
If off course you keep your finger in a reasonable place before:lol:

BFG’s engineered two new heat dissipating solutions into the design of the new Fusion 2. The new designs were implemented to improve the cooling of both the vapor and body of the Fusion 2.

The first change is a approximately 50% longer neck on the TI tip/bowl portion (not shown) that’s inserted into the body to insure inhaled vapor bypasses the hottest part of the tip body junction connection and does not pick up additional heat.

The second change is a new two part body system that buffers high temps from the outer body sleeve during multiple bowls in succession. Stainless steel is used in both the internal and external sections of the body.

Heat resistant O rings are employed on the internal section as a thermal break to buffer the heat from the inner SS tube from the outer exposed body tube/section. View photo below.

Own four versions of the Dani and never experienced any problem with hot vapor using natively. However, the metal bodies can get uncomfortable during multiple sessions. This new two section body design should mitigate most of the heat transfer from the hot cap/tip section.

The Fusion 2 appears to be a solid upgrade over the OG Fusion when considered that it also now comes with a larger bowl with a half bowl size option, new higher temp thermal disk to eliminate counting after the click, Ti mouth piece, waxed leather case and all for the price of the original OG Fusion.

If you're interested, @Grover at soothingvapours.ca are stocking the new Fusion 2’s and Wesley at wesleypipesandmore.com also has them in stock.

BFG kicks off 2024 with a solid upgrade for the Fusion. Looking forward to what new innovations other developers will be offering this year.

Is the screen included in the tip for a half-bowl setting, or is it needed? Or, should I remove it with a tweezer or pin/needle?
After comparing the bowl size with my HR Rogue, I just realized that the screen is set to half bowl size. It's pretty amazing because I've been using it all weekend, and it hits hard for about half the size bowl I'm used to loading. To use the whole bowl, do you just remove the screen, or does it push down further?

you can just push it down further

I just came back here to say that as well. I took it apart to clean last night and popped out the screen. There's a little notch to hold it at the halfway, or it can be pushed down. It's a bit tough to get it back at that halfway mark, though. Despite my best efforts, I'm sort of at a 2/3 bowl size now,

I had trouble getting mine back to the half too, although I’m happy with the full setting since I use mine mostly at night.

Do you still need a screen at the full setting? Or can/should I pull mine out with a dental pick?

Is that a Tempest on the right? How does it compare to the Dani?
The Tempest is amazing. I have a desktop full of wonderful vapes, but I've been reaching for the Tempest almost 100% of the time. The hype is real.

Compared with the Dani, it only takes 1 heat cycle with the wand, it has crazy high airflow and is more convection based. I exclusively use it with a full bowl setting. It hits about hard as a half-bowl on the TM2. It hits very similar in fact.

Dani has a bigger bowl and gives terpier conduction forward hits. The heat drop-off seems to happen faster than the Tempest, but I haven't done any extensive comparisons.

@popitup is that a carb way up towards the neck of the long woody? :hmm: Haven’t seen one placed like that if so ..
Yeah it is, I thought it was a little odd as well. Maybe it's because the glass can get pretty hot?

This is the Infinity Stem from Wesley Pipes and More (make sure you google for the whole phrase...).

I'm still figuring out the best way to hit it, but I mean... the Tempest heats up in 1 cycle... so Dani has been taking a little bit of a back seat until the Flare comes out, then he's probably front and center again.

Ah, ok. Knew the newer shorty had those. Didn’t know they had the longer now with same concept

I finally did it and combusted in my Fusion (2.0). The thing stinks, and even after a pretty thorough cleaning (q-tipping and wiping, not soaking), it still has that combustion reek. What's the best way to clean after combustion? Do I need to soak for a long time in iso (trying not to have to remove all those o-rings)? What about the woody stem? Maybe fill it up with iso and plug the ends? And, of course, the cap can't be submerged, right?

Or will it just go away eventually?

Just looking for any advice or thoughts from any Second Day Fusionists... (Fusion 2 owners)
Just got a Fusion 2 wooden shorty. On first try, yup, combustion! I invented fire!!

So, left the bowl empty and started a little testing. At no point does a click occur that I can hear above the flame of my three jet pocket lighter. When it cools down, it I have it on some metal (as a heat sink) I hear a very quiet cool-down click, but I need it to be quet and have my ear only a foot away or so. To hear the cool-down click otherwise, I have to hold it maybe 4/5 inches from my ear, and it's still pretty quiet.

I have a DV-M and have little problem hearing the click on that with the same lighter, unless there's a telly on on similar noise in the background.
So I don't think it's just me, but having little experience of any other butane vapes, I thought others may be able to give comparison? Is this sounding like a duff cap? Or do they improve with use? Is this a known issue?

Thanks in advance!

Good evening, has anyone tested the dani V2 with the long stem Is there a big difference with the short I love the V1, and as long as I get another one, I would have taken the long way, but I'm afraid of being disappointed.

Today I got my dani fusion. very frustrating experience at all. No vapor, or just ever so slightly. tried a lot, but it seems it does not like my herb...
My beloved Lotus': does not care how sticky the herb... it just makes fat tasty clouds within seconds. No I don't like that dani here.... Build quality could be better too (it came with some nasty scratches and marks). probably I'm missing something, but I think I won't like it ever. It looks very cool and could be handy. But if it's not convenient enough ... it's pointless for me. man I just want to get blasted - not a masters degree in overcoming obstacles with different vaporization devices... no , no , no. shit has to work conveninently or imo it's just for the more sophisticated, more patient people.. Well, ok.
Since i want to use it on the go... AVB I got in return was dark but no (almost) vapor.
I'm at 90% done with this concept. next vape I'll give a try is the TM2.
