I agree that's why I prefer to heat it with the kitchen torch than the wand. It has noticeably more of a conduction taste with the wand. I don't know if it's because it heats longuer or if the wand heats "deaper". The big difference with the dynavap is that there is a layer of air between the cap and the bowl so also between the flame and the load.

Newbie to the Dani, and it's the 2.0, stainless stem (no air port).

Just tried it with a kitchen torch, aimed at lower ring. Never clicked, combusted, no AVB. What am I doing wrong?

Also, is the airflow adjustable/how? What I got was restrictive, almost mtl, not bad, but smoking not vaping. But no coughing.

Getting the cap off after was an adventure, and broke an o-ring.

I assume I was a klutz, being new to it, but suggestions welcome.

The tip is two pieces(three with cap). Make sure the bowl piece is pushed all the way into the tips base for proper air flow. You can also rotate the bowl and align the air holes to your liking (both of the tip pieces). Use some oil from your face to lubricate the orings if they feel too sticky or firm. Also use a needle if you’re ever needing to carefully pick them off for cleaning. Heat closer to the clicker discs (higher on the cap)for less chance to combust. Just practice and have fun learning. Skim through this thread for all your questions answered.

That was only a recommendation for the non fusion because it is the only way to adjust the air flow. Never make it too tight so it won’t get stuck and leave a small gap of you need more airflow. I don’t think it’s necessary on the fusion.

It’s a must on the v1 v2 v3 non fusion

Did you submerge the cap in ISO? I don't think that's meant to be done with the BFG devices but I could be wrong.

I didn't submerge it with ISO, but cleaned it out with a qtip with just a drop of ISO after the combustions.

Test it without flower just to get it clicking, heat the shizzle out of it, if you don't get a click at all might be defective, least you won't waste anything.

@Hms34 that’s a real bummer. Like Sativapo mentioned, maybe get an exchange? HERE’S 30 sec heat up on the og with a good size single flame. Sry 4 brightness..

I haven't read much about the difference in the high from using the Dani Vape. I was surprised how much of a body high I got and also by how much more satisfying it is than my Vapcap. I haven't felt that level of deep relaxation for years - none of my other devices are quite like it.

But in case anyone was wondering about using the Blazer Big Buddy with the Fusion, it's possible but probably overkill. You can't focus the flame or reduce it enough to let it heat the cap up gradually, so there are often hot spots. I've got it so I can get big, satisfying clouds in under 10 seconds, but it's holding it wayyy away from the flame and twisting lots with still occasional semi-combustion.

Can't wait for an effective induction heater solution for this one.

Sorry, what stem do you use in your Dani Fusion 1? The short wooden one? Thanks in advance.

The Dani Fusion 2.0 can handle whole nugs pretty well, there is a little less vapor than when I do a medium grind, but for the convenience, I do it sometimes.

im using the long wooden stem and using it with the carb hole closed. Definitely my best hitting vape and overall favourite. I got used to using that torch - im clearing the chamber in 2 to 3 large, long hits which takes about 2 minutes including cooldown. Wonderful, smooth, tasty and deeply satisfying.

Thank you so much for the input... I'm planning to buy the Fusion 1 with the long wooden stem too, but, like you, I would like to use it without the carb hole, so I would like to know how to plug effectively the carb hole..., if you would be so kind to tell me how you have done it...

I know that Fusion v2 has no carb hole but I prefer the previous model since it has been so praised and I save a few euros on the way.

About the torch, I have seen that this Ronxs lighter has been recommended here, and maybe it is not as aggressive as that Blazer, I don't know, being also very powerful...You can select one flame or two.
It has a fair price here in the EU.

i would wait for the flare, the IH from BFG. If it can heat the fusion, the tempest and the armored/normal cap it would be a win-win. (And if it can heat the new anvil tip better than better)

Thank you. Here's my (materialistic sorry) way of looking at it:

A) The Wand = 108€ in the EU (using a welcome discount).

B) The Flare from BFG = ?€

108€ being yet a good amount of money to my budget

So maybe given my budget I should limit myself to continue using only Dynavap... I'm thinking about customizing my M2020, or getting the M+ or even the WoodWynd which I find irresistible... questions, questions...

Been using the desk top Ronx torch for about two years with zero issues on my Anvil, Dani's and DV's. Only use the single flame that can be adjusted to large for calorie hungry vapes or to a flame size that a small pocket torch normally used for DV's has.

Well constructed (metal), precise adjustments, good hand feel and function, and lights first time every time. Works every bit as good as my more expensive desk top torches. Use quality fuel and purge every so often and it will serve you well.

I’m liking that Ronx dual now that I’ve had it for about a month. It’s my preferred out of all for the Tempest and works well on the Fusion.
@pequeñotío I’ve got an e-cig tank “band” twisted once over to cover the carb here. Not the prettiest and folded/twisted on the other side, but works for the long woody.

No problem. I just plug the hole with my finger or thumb when I'm inhaling, then release it at the end to clear any remaining vapour from the pipe. It doesn't get annoying and sometimes when you've heated the cap a bit too long and the vapour is too hot or thick it's nice being able to let more fresh air in to the mix.

And i've been very happy with the quality of the blazer lighter. It's overkill and gets through butane at quite a rate, but it does let you vape extremely quickly. That Ronxs looks good - tempted by that or the Blazer Fire Fox myself.

Thank you. I mistakenly thought you were referring to a definitive or semi-permanent carb hole seal, I apologize for the misunderstanding as far as I am concerned.

I have acquired an apprehension about the normal use of the carb hole; and this is that such use means that the air inhaled comes in part from contact with my finger; A finger that I always try to keep as clean as possible, but which I see as a foreign element into the air flow. I simply don't like the idea anymore.

Additionally, the carb hole is not needed in a unit that already has plenty of air intakes through the tip, which is one of the reasons why it has been removed from the new Dani Fusion. The use of the finger in this context of vaporizing is becoming more and more cumbersome to me, more and more disruptive of a pure experience; although it may have its interest as a technique and control of the puff, to me it already bores me and bothers me.

To the others folks who have helped me about the torch lighter and on sealing the carb, I also thank them, they have clarified that this Ronx torch serves well for DVs too...It seems like a good item, metal construction, fair price...

Although first I must overcome my torchphobia (sic). Not sure I'm achieving it... It's something essential to be able to use a Dani Fusion with advantage (from what I've read in this thread). I hope not to be left on the shelf because of the time fleeting.

As I await a replacement cap, I'm using my 2.0 by guestimating the heating time, then adding more if needed. With a kitchen torch single flame, it's 25 seconds with a low flame. Quicker with a stronger or more direct heating.

A couple of observations and questions:

- the 2.0 feels quite mouth-to-lung restrictive. Do I need a finer grind, and, if so, what type of grinders are best?

- Is the screen included in the tip for a half-bowl setting, or is it needed? Or, should I remove it with a tweezer or pin/needle?

I've had a Fusion 1 on long wooden stem for about 6 months now, I use my finger over the carb hole when I'm holding it and taking direct pulls with my mouth so can add fresh air when needed but when using it through glass I don't want the carb at all so cut the glue section from a rizla and stuck it over the hole to make it hands free. I also do the same with my Sticky Brick Runt.
