It sounds like a battery contact issue somewhere, especially if the paper fix helped a little. I would clean all of the contacts again: the contact at the bottom of the battery compartment with a pencil eraser, the battery lid threads and contact points with rubbing alcohol, also the top aluminum panel of the device and the thin strip that contacts the top of the device. And the main torx screw needs to be tight.

I had a similar issue, as have a number of people, and cleaning all of the contacts solved the issue. Alternatively, your battery could be toast -- have you tried a different 18650?
Well, I don't really understand, as I cleaned all contacts. The only contact that is not easy to clean is the one on bottom, where you put battery, because I don't have the smaller torx to open the second smaller screw and remove the green chip to clean the battery compartment contact. I tried to clean with paper with iso from the top, but I don't know if I cleaned it well.
The problem is not about 18650 as I have many.
So, at the end, do you agree you too that is better foil than just paper under the metal plate?

@dzoinp
I answered you in my previous message, I hope you can see it and you can answer to me 🙏

Anyone know when the new version will drop? I saw the instagram page thank you for that! I was on the fence about buying one because of fear of wanting to take it on adventures and risk dropping and breaking it. This upgrade has me drooling now.
apparently all new TM2s have the upgraded components already.

So I already clean with iso. And yes, I have the torx to close it firmly.
With paper I see good results at 10 but I have to try tomorrow with next weed and low levels. But as soon as possible I ll put foil 👍
For "clean threads on the battery cover" you mean the pin - /+ of the battery? If yes, I already did it.
Mostly, I didn't understand this "Do you have the white coil pins aligned crosswise like this +?", do you have a picture to better understand?

Thank you 👍
We are talking about TM (1) right?
To see the two pins, you have to see the coil and to do that you have to remove the heater screen. They hold the coil in place and are crossed. If they are not crossed, you have to ask for repair
I wasn't referring to cleaning the batteries but rather the lid, more specifically the threads on the lid and top plate...batteries also get dirty...especially on the negative side (lid)

I Love the TM2 but after being w/out it for a month and receiving the replacement unit, I wasn't missing it that much. I have avlp, angus and the dynagang to keep me medicated and entertained, so if you're on the fence, there's a new one for $250 in the classifieds.

I forgot to do the offered swap/upgrade of one of my version 1 TMs for a version 2 TM before the end of the year. They're both working great, so it's really no big deal, but I did kinda want to have a TM2. I guess the upside is they both still have the 10 year warranties.

Yeah ultimately I decided it wasn't going to be so worthwhile, I would like to keep both of my TM1 for now as collectibles, maybe later I will get another TM2 or eventually a TM3 haha but it just felt unnecessary since I only use my TM2 anyway since getting it...

Unfortunately they recently reduced the warranty to 3 years.
That was his point? If he had gotten the newer one to replace one of them it might have reduced his warranty on that device... I got my TM1 so early that it still has 10 years as well as my one (again never registered though, but I don't think they would screw me over if I had an issue, just peace of mind)

To see that I just have to remove the main long screw, or I have to remove also the second smaller torx screw?

This is how the coil should be...well aligned and with the two ceramic pins crossed

From tinymight web site:

MY TINYMIGHT IS NOT GIVING AS MUCH VAPORS AS IT USED TO

There can be multiple reasons: 1) battery is not good enough. Sometimes batteries might fail early, or in case it is a third party battery, it might have not been good enough quality one in the first place. And after extended use, their performance degrades. 2) electrical contacts inside the Tinymight need refreshment. Usually it is easy thing to do and no need to open up the device. You need a Torx T20 screwdriver / bit and then please open the big back end screw just a little bit, 1-2mm should be enough, to get the aluminum end panels to move relative to the wooden body. move them as much as you can, imagine you are trying to scratch the wood underneath them and then retighten the screw very well. Usually this is enough to bring back the original performance if there has been any reduction of permormance. 3) if after verifying the above steps you are still having lower temperatures than expected, but are able to get results with the temperature dial turned up to higher level like 10, you can just simply adjust the calibration of the vape for higher level. The Tinymight has a setting to allow adjust the range of the temperature dial from - 3 to +3 steps relative to the original values. So for example, calibrating it to +3 level means that you would get already at 7 the same results as now at 10. For calibration advice, please send us email with a subject "CALIBRATION" and we will send you instructions. If the above steps don't help you, it is best to return the device for repair.

Yes this part was posted in the previous pages.
And yes, the coils look like centered.. But I m not sure because one of them is not so visible. Maybe you can understand it from the picture?
20240129-000853.jpg

Looks ok or maybe 90% centered.. I think that even if it's a little bit not centered, should be fine anyway right?
If yes, what else I should fix from my previous messages, just putting foil instead of paper under the top metal plate under the cover?
That's it, or I can make some other improvement or light overheating?
I m having good results now, maybe a little less powered in the number 3-4-5 than before. But then start working great and at 10 I can do many puffs before to fully finish it (in the past it cooked more on every number, so when I arrived at 10 it's very cooked and dark, now a little bit less).
Thanks

You have to remove the ring that holds the oring, the tube (aluminum or stainless steel) and the heater screen, to get a good look...
I don't know... it looks like they are misaligned...they are just two crossed ceramic pins that hold the coil...
If they are off-center I believe they are broken

It seems to me that you've already done everything... have you tried scrubbing the plates? What about cleaning the battery lid and top plate threads with iso? ...they create a lot of aluminum dust that causes loss of conductivity
These are two of the most important things in these TM1 power losses. I still use mine daily and about every 6 months I do all these procedures... you don't even need to remove the main screw... just loosen it a little until you can move the plates

I still see the new purple heart unit being promoted on Instagram now along with the new cooling stem... Furthermore it looks like you do not need a screen by the mouthpiece of the cooling stem to hold the balls in, you can use just the mouthpiece, and put the basket screen in front of the glass screen on the chamber side for best performance too

I have described the TM as idiot proof, but yesterday I really pushed the limits of what idiots can do. I mostly use mine on a tiny globe and at the end I tend to lift the TM to clear the globe, then set it back down to do a final clearing of the TM, and then lift if off and that hit is done.

Last night I set it down for that last clearing and it milked up the whole globe. That's odd, I must have stayed on the button too long, so I clear that, all part of the same lungful. Now I try to do the final clearing again and there is still a ton of vapor, so I try to cram all that down on top. It still won't clear, and my lungs are about to burst, oh for the love of god, I'm in session mode and it's still on. That was painful, sort of fun, but owww. Just thought I would share, be careful out there. ;)

Being a heavy twax load didn't help.

I think idiotic things happen to all of us when we vape. After all, the whole thing is a bit more complex (and therefore of course much more exciting) than combustion and it doesn't always help to be medicated...

That's what happened to me yesterday: It was time to clean my TM stems again. I always make a special effort with my pill stem from HA as I like it shiny and with all the bling-bling.. So I gave it a nice bath in ISO, removed all the residue with pipe cleaner, dipped it in ISO again, rinsed it under hot water and then dried it with a hairdryer to prevent water stains. After I had also cleaned the inside and outside of the TM, I sat down and ground some herbs. I turn on the music, I'm ready to get going. After all, I've been busy cleaning for a while, now it is time for the reward. So I put the stem between my lips, straw method easy-peasy, suck up the herbs, the excitement builds - and then my whole mouth is full of grind...

Well, that's what happens when you forget to insert the basket screen back into the stem. Of course, the whole stem is now full of herbs and I have to start the cleaning process all over again... :uhh:
